Corbin Carroll is retired to end this non-competitive Game 5 and he is now 2-19 in the series.
Well just got back about 30 minutes ago after pulling a MrBator and just leaving Chase field altogether vs. turning off the TV in the 8th inning. No come back was to be had, that was for sure and I was at my wits end watching the affair.
First inning was rough, the place was electric but 2 runs out of the gate, again one scoring on an error throw home, pretty much started deflating the balloon. As I had stated, defense would be key and today Marte had 2 errors and Bryson Stott made some incredible plays. Tip my hat to him.
The Phillies returned to hitting and after Gallen settled down there was some more damage around the corner. Once the game was 6-0 an Alec Thomas homer was pure consolation to not be shutout.
Zach Wheeler was again untouchable and dealing strikes from the get go, making it tough for the Dbacks hitters to take pitchers and chase him early. Of course, the Diamondbacks scoring nothing was a factor of their weak hitting lineup and terrible situational hitting.
I'm off them for Monday though I think Merrill Kelly can at least give them a respectable showing. I have them to win the series which now is at a discount to what I paid (+340) and so I'll either take my licks or have a sizable ante on Game 7, which I dont' have much confidence will occur.
For the haters, you can now celebrate that I lost money and am not up 6 figures. I'm still up considerably but tonights loss hurt, and I'm a man and can say I was on the wrong side, period. There was nobody to blame except a bad prediction in a game I thought Gallen would be very strong in. Of course, the first inning error cost him and pretty much took out momentum but still, it was only the 1st inning. Just have to really give props to Wheeler for doing what he's been doing and putting the Phillies on the brink of reaching a consecutive World Series.
I had no service at Chase and my phone died so I'm just able to get to the thread and apologize to those who tailed. When I write "tail or fade, good luck to all", I really do mean it, so I hope some of you cashed in lieu of some of us cashing ;). No reason to hate the other side, unfortunately there always is a winner and a loser, and tonight I was on the losing side . And yes, it stings but I'll shake it off as always, it's just really entertainment at the end of the day.

I had very little service at Chase too. But my season tickets are on row 1 of the Club Seats so we do have a wi-if channel. Just a lot of people using it. Brutal game. Hope they can win game 6. Then anything is possible for game 7. You driving back to LA?

Was opposite of you today but I wasn’t confident in my bet as I hate Phillies bullpen.
On the bright side, you killed it in soccer today. I had a few similar picks that cashed, wish I tailed all your picks. BOL. Let’s keep killing the books.

Seems to me this might have been a homer bet tonight, you made a nice chunk riding ur home team tho so dont blame you. Unfortunately this thing ends monday. Phillies dont lose at home and in all honesty az is pretty lucky to have won 2 off the phillies. GL on ur future wagers
