And you shall make money. I have been reeeeeling the last 2 days. Took an AWFUL hit yesterday which left me blanked. Hope to bounce back but it's a grind.

Jackson has been great and Penny has not. Neither have the Sox.

Yankees are on FIRE and shall continue to roll. 31-9 in their last 40. How funny is it that going into the Red Sox/Yankees series...the only thing people were talking about was 0-8 against the Sox. Now I wonder how much people will be talking about how the Yankees have the biggest lead over the team trailing them than any other team in the Majors.
 
No "POD" picks today as this card kinda sucks. Pretty much just running with streaks here.

runlagos I usually don't bet totals unless there is a bounce back in affect or a true pitcher's duel. So I'll stay away here. Good Luck though.
 
 
I'd like to let it know that I have not officially bet the Tigers. I shouldn't have put the line up. I'm waiting for it to go down as it should. So I'll give a line update later.

As bad as the Sox have been batting and as bad as Penny can pitch, I have a hard time betting against them at home. More of a no play for me, cause their bats can wake up any time and theres definately a difference between the Penny that pitches at home vs the one that pitches on the road.

GL with the Yankees. I'm going to bet them too. But it just dawned on me that I'm wondering if they are planning on resting some of their starters tomorrow; and the linesmakers know this(?).
I know Mitre isn't that good but neither is RZEPCZYNSKI (C & P that name!).
I just think the line is too low for some reason. A letdown can't be that much of a factor.

jwheels Probably the best bet. I'll have to check my site. They don't usually give TT bets unless the game is on National TV and since it's on ESPN, they'll probably have it.
 
LakeTahoeKid Nah...Mitre can lower a line like that. And lets see...Jeter, Cano and Tex most likely won't sit. No time to let up now. A-Rod may get a day, but he was DH today so who knows. And the outfield doesn't mean much. Maybe Damon will DH or get the day off against the lefty. Regardless of the lineup...they can't really put a "weak" lineup out there.

I am simply disgusted right now. I held off on the Tigers because of the line yet the A's moved 30...thats THIRTY cents. I am furious about this. I guess thats what happens at times. Sometimes you get the better line sometimes you get hit like this. But this is harsh.

I don't think fading the Red Sox at home is a wise move. Sure the Sox are slumping but they lost to the AL representative in the World Series last year and a grooving Yankees team. Also in the mix was a lot of distraction...Fat Boy Ortiz and his I didn't take no steroid crap.
 
There's no place like home and the Red Sox are good at home. Detroit is a measly 7-14 vs the AL East. In the 3 previous games vs Detroit...Detroit's problem was they were over matched by Boston's pitching. Sure the Tigers got men on base but they rarely scored. Winning streaks in baseball start at home and the Sox should be a minimum of 2-1 come Wednesday night. I'm betting the Sox all 3 games.

chilitokid But the Red Sox are 0-9 against teams above .500 since the break. And the Tigers may have been overmatched by pitching last time, but the Tigers have the clear advantage in pitching here with Jackson and the Sox' pen has been far from stellar.

Megamaniak Thats the thing I don't get. I'm seeing it everywhere. "letdown". How is it that the Yanks are in for a letdown after a 7-game winning streak yet the Sox should win after a 6-game losing streak. It just doesn't add up to me. The 15 inning win for the Yanks was emotional. They just came back stronger the next game. On a quick turnaround none the less. Baseball is about streaks and until either one breaks the streak, I'll ride them both. Especially with Tazawa starting tomorrow.

Yea, I get your logic, I ride streaks as well.
 
However, I also know the psyche of the athlete.
 
You might win, but don't expect it without hiccups.
