Jack didn't go to the dark side. I think that he is getting wise.  He knows "Locke" is bad and he knows if "Locke" wants them to leave the island, they should probably stay.

I may have to watch the episode again, as it blew a couple of my theories (a/k/a wild guesses) out of the water.

Anyone think that kid that scares MIB is Aaron?

It has to be significant that Aaron was the only child to make it through birth on the island. The Others had valued Walt and Aaron so much that these guys have to be players at some point in these last 4 upcoming episodes.

I don't think so.  The only reason I lean that way is why would MIB have any reason to fear Aaron or Walt? Aaron has been off the island for some time now and it is pretty clear that the only guy MIB fears is Jacob. Hell, he had rockets coming after him and was calm and collected. We def. won't see Walt because he grew up really fast and would like out of place now and the only way we see Aaron would be some reunion in the end with Claire. Either way, I don't see either of them playing a role.  Just my opinion

How did Smokie take the form of Isabella when he was trying to trick Ricardos?  I was under the impression he could only do that w the dead people on the island (John Locke, Christian Shepard and I think Eko's bro).

If i remember correctly, Isabella appears twice. Once when Richard is trapped in the black rock (this was MIB) and again when he is talking with Hurley. That time Hurley is the one who saw her. Hurley has a "special" gift that allows him to speak to the dead. ex Isabella, Jacob, and Michael

Yeah I know, but doesn't answer my question of MIB being in Isabella form esp. since her body would have been buried on Canary Islands somewhere.

he could take the form of anybody he wants as long they are dead. the only he could have taken their form for good was if the body was on the island.  he decided to take locke's for whatever reason and now is stuck in that body for good

I think that MIB was able to get a locket of Isabella's.   It appears that he either needs a body, or something possessed by the person whose form he wants to take.  Or something.

This is the first time in a long time that i am utterly speechless.  I had a feeling Sayid would be dead before the finale but Sun and Jin I am shocked.  What an end to two great characters. 

So much for MIB not being able to get wet. Not that it had that much significance anyways.  The real issue here is why now must everybody be dead. I think he wants to not only leave the island but completely destroy it. As long as a candidate is alive, the island can not be destroyed. Just a idea.

Next week might be one of the best of the season as it looks like we finally get to see what really went down between MIB and Jacob.

Any questions/thoughts/comments/theories?

no doubt in my mind Sayid would be dead.....surprised it took this long to be honest.......yet he went out as a "good guy" ....saving the rest

Sun and Jin could have died in Season 2....and I for one, would not have cared


water effects MIB....IMO  it effects how he can, or can NOT,  change  to the smoke monster.....it eventually will lead to his demise

this series is playing out as many thought it might IMO............Sawyer caused the deaths of all of those on the sub......solely b/c of his lack of faith in Jack...........which will lead to their continued, and maybe permanent feud.........closer to that scene  with Jack and Sawyer on the beach at the end then ever

Hell of an episode! Can't believe they killed off Sayid, Jin, and sun in one episode. Maybe Jin escaped at the last minute again. Once his hand was released by a dying Sun, he made it out of the sub with sheer determination to raise his daughter

Did Lapedus get crushed by a door in the sub and fall to the ocean floor too?

People notice how Jack offered Claire the same candy bar that Jacob offered to him?

Been waiting for next week's episode forever

We will agree to disagree but i am interested in hearing how you think MIB will die? I have some ideas but am curious as to what other people think

Jin being alive could very well happen but i think if you are going to kill off one of the kwons you have to kill the other. they are pretty much useless without each other. i don't think we will be seeing Frank anytime soon either. he is a goner for sure.  next week is going to be epic. i can feel it

there have only been two episodes of LOST that i did not like (tail section eps.) But i can add number 3 to the list.  I have been waiting for this episode all season and i am really disappointed. this could have been a great episode to truly learn about the island and get some definitive answers but we are now left with even bigger ones. with 2 eps remaining, this ending better be out of this world

I agree 100%.........the episode was terrible.........WHAT DID THIS EPISODE REALLY ANSWER?

Interesting show. Blows my mind that MIB was not the first Smoke Monster and that it was he who was supposed to be the guardian of the island. Who was the fake mother, how did she get to the island, and how did she learn of the powers of the island? Plus, she seemed pretty comfortable in her evil ways.

  More questions and only two episodes left.

Coulda been Jacob and MIB's fake mom was the smoke monster.

thats why she said thank you when MIB stabbed her.

 

also when the fake mom knocked out MIB when she went to see him, she massacred the all of MIB's friends......... how else could one old woman take out that entire village?

The second after i typed that everything you said popped into my mind. you are defiantly correct. not to mention that in a previous episodes we saw the hieroglyphics that showed the smoke monster being worshiped.

not sure if you know but the finale was just made a half hour longer. it is going to be one action packed 2.5 hours. Then after i am looking forward to watching the jimmy kimmel show. he is going to have the cast on and i believe they are going to show a couple alternate endings.

when everything is over. i will go right back to season 1 and watch them all over again
