I watched Abraham Lincoln vampire hunter 7/10 pretty entertaining. Even with the history story lol its a decent flick.
Seeking a friend for the end of the world- 6.5/10 not really a funny flick just bleh, you guys would probably hate this movie, pretty average.
Brave- I cannot watch any animated movie but sat through this with the nieces and nephews, pretty good flick 8/10 although I won't watch it ever again. Maybe when I have kids haha

watched the 2006 documentary on the life and death of Nixon era "gonzo journalist" Hunter S. Thompson Buy the Ticket. Take the Ride on STARZ last night.
really good interviews and cuts from the two feature films based on his life and works. had a lot from Bill Murray who played Thompson in the 1980 movie Where the Buffalo Roam and Johnny Depp who played him in the 1998 Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. both became very close friends with Hunter with Depp even living at one time in the basement of his house in Aspen, Colorado.
also interviews with many other long time Thompson friends and/or associates from George McGovern to William F. Buckley to Benicio Del Toro (who played Thompsons lawyer and traveling companion "Raoul Duke" in Fear and Loathing. the character was based on the real life Thompson lawyer Oscar Acosta) interview list >>> https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0775438/fullcredits#cast
VERY good 75 minute Doc IF your into Thompson, the 1960's-70's "counter culture" or the making of Where the Buffalo Roam and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

" I saw the Devil" clearly was one of the best films I've seen in a long while. It's Korean made and is subtitled but if you can get over that it is excellent. I rented it on iTunes. It's pretty violent also. It's theme is revenge but doesn't follow the typical revenge story line. I would reccomend it to everyone who likes action and disturbing drama. It's hard to describe without giving it away.

I'm prepping to see the Avengers, so went through all the recent comic book movies that were linked to it. Not that you need to be a brain scientist to follow Avengers, but thought it would be good not to go into it completely blind.
Iron Man. Heard great things about it. Everyone I have ever talked to pretty much said it is the best movie. Found it to be a complete bore. Tony Starks is a good character and definitely had some great lines/scenes, but the entire 40 minute scene while locked up with Talibans put me to sleep. Then he escaped and the movie was interesting for about 45 minutes. Then the long and drawn out final action sequence put me back to sleep. I was FF'ing through it just to make it end.
Iron Man 2. I liked it a lot better than the first. Thought that Mickey Rourke played a good bad guy although he is so ugly I have to FF through a lot of his scenes. I'm in awe that he was once a sex symbol. He was putrid BEFORE he aged 30 years and botched a bunch of plastic surgeries. I've always been a huge fan of Scarlett Johansen and wanted to pop a boner at her, but ever since I saw those leaked photos of her nude, she is a turn off. What awful tits without a bra and shirt. Her mug also seems to be getting worse. She reminds me of a young Kelly McGiddiess(top gun chick). And we all know that she turned out to be a man!
Hulk(Norton one). Pretty good.
Thor. Actually saw this in movie theaters last year in San Diego, but I was recovering from a week in Scottsdale and then Vegas for a bachelor party. Was sick as a dog with the shakes(and eventually a sinus infection) and my buddy dragged me out of bed on a rainy day(figures I visit SD and it was 56 and rainy the whole week). Highlight of that week in that shit town was my rampage through Tijuana and getting cockblocked by Cameron Maybin after a SD game. Only a 80mg oxy got me out of bed the day we went to see Thor, so I BARELY remembered the movie. Watched it again last weekend and enjoyed it. The scenes on his home world gave it a cool vibe and the movie kind of reminded me of my favorite all time comic book movie(Superman 2). Natilie Portman makes me want to vomit. I'm pretty sure she is a dude, but she wasn't enough to ruin the movie for me. Thor's brother is pretty cool and hopefully he makes an appearence in Avengers as well as Thor 2.
Captain America. In the middle of this now. Not bad. I almost turned it off after a long boring couple of scenes started the movie(Christ, 8 minutes to show some people dig through ice and find his shield?????), but it picked up once it went to NY in 1942 and actually SAW Captain America. I want to bang the chick in it too.
Looking forward to Avengers!

I agree rat. Not so much comic movies, but any big budget summer action movies I find boring. Any sort of 20 minute chase and action scene and I'm falling asleep.
Give me a good comedy or a smart thriller any day over a big budget action flick!
