There was once a man named Jawad, he rode on a donkey through the city
while his small son went next to him. As he rode through the town, people
whispered "look at Jawad, why is he letting the small son walk, while he is riding the donkey himself" Jawad heard that, the day after he placed the son on the donkey and went next to it, when he again rode through the town,
people whispered "Look at Jawad, why is he beside the donkey, while
his fresh young boy is sitting on the donkey." Jawad heard that, so the next day
Jawad and his son both rode on the donkey through the city and people whispered:
"Look at Jawad, why are they both riding the poor little donkey, it's so mean!" Jawad heard that, the day after both of them walked next to the donkey, but people whispered again: Look at Jawad and his son,
they are not even using their donkey, why are they so stupid not to ride on
it? Thats how i feel about Lebron. No matter what, there will always be haters, if he gets a ring or not you will hate, if he puts up 45 points on the board or not; you will hate. No matter what he does you will hate on this guy. It's unbelieveable. Some of you hate on him because he stated that he would go for 7 rings. The guy is just aiming for the stars. If Lebron shoots by himself, then he is a ballhog ego kid, if he doesn't take the shot himself then he is horrible. You hate on him for being arrogant and going for these 7 rings, and if he didnt aim for the 7 rings you would hate him for not having a killer instinct. If he wins the championship then he isnt a good basketball player, then he is only good because of his teammates. If LeBron bashed Granger in the Pacers series you would call him a sick and cruel player, if he didnt bash him you will accuse him of lacking the killer instinct. If he scores a clutch shot, then he isn't good for scoring a clutch shot, then he is horrible for allowing the game to be close. If he scores 45 points then he isn't good for having scored 45 points, then he is horrible for not scoring 47 points.
You will be hating on Lebron no matter what he does. It's fun to be on the Lebron hater band waggon, isn't it?

I was on the LeBron hater bandwagon the second he stabbed Cleveland in the back on national television. Things just got worse from there.
Oh really, then tell me this then. Since when and where did LeBron received support from his teammates during the playoffs? The answer is NO. Go back and watch the Cavs playoffs, every leech on that Cavs team were either standing or sitting to watch LeBron win the game for them. Every superstar player needs some kind of support. Did MJ singly carried the Bulls to win the finals? NO. He needed Pippen, Rodman and Grant.
Don't hate because Cleveland is just a crap city. Nothing good comes from that city. LeBron was smart enough to realize and made the right decision to leave Cleveland. If Cleveland wanted to keep LeBron then they would've got some decent players to join LBJ.

Although I am a die hard Bulls fan and a was previously a fan of LBJ until the on air trade shit and him fighting with Noah doing his air guitar, dancing, and showboating shit in the playoffs........I agree with what you wrote and think that is how people feel about the man. He's a great bball player I will never take that from him. I just wish he handled his business differently. He lacks the class he should have for a man in his position. With that said he's lucky D.Rose took a hit this year.

Just from a "way they did it" perspective, Durant x1,000,000 over LeBron here. Durant and LBJ were both drafted to terrible teams when they came into the league. Both mads those teams much better, Durant in OKC and James for the Cavs. Durant's extension is worth 17.2 a year, and LBJ is at 18.3, so let's say about the same ballpark money wise for each. Durant stayed loyal, and OKC built around him getting them to where they are today. LBJ whored himself out to play with Bosh and Wade in Miami, instead of letting Cleveland pay him about the same to build around him there to get to where he is today. Tons more respect for Durant and how he went about his business vs. how LBJ handled it. I hope OKC smokes the Heat in this series.

For the first year, i loathed bron and the heat... The mavs championship is one of my favorite champions in all sports... It didnt feel like the heat had to "earn" their title.... But after losing last year, it does feel like the heat have "earned" it this year, and i wont mind seeing them win it
ON THE FLIPS SIDE: how can any true NBA fan cheer for OKC to win the tittle? As likable as durant is, this franchise was STOLEN from the great fans of seattle. This is a franchise that was well supported and had a great history. I love durant as a player, but no way i can cheer for the thunder to win knowing that this is seattles team.
WHAT SHULTZ, BENNET, STERN DID TO SEATTLE IS 100 TIMES WORSE THAN WHAT BRON DID TO CLEVELAND!!!! clevland still has a team, and a promising young team at that. Seattle got fucked, and if you are cheering for the thunder, you are not a true nba fan appreciative of its history

There's a way to leave a city (basically your HOMETOWN if not your home region, mind you) that is done with class, and a way without class. LeBron chose to do it on national TV rather than the way someone like Durant did it.
Also, Dan Gilbert gave him the freaking keys to the kingdom, and every move LeBron wanted he went after. Jamison? Done. Shaq? Done.
I have no problem with LeBron leaving CLE to go play somewhere else. That's the whole point of free agency. It's HOW he did it that I abhor. Big and important distinction.

Again -- my beef is not with him for leaving, but HOW he left. Read my post above this one.

agree 100% with kapono. I liked Lebron until "the decision" and that circus he put on.Then the rap party wade, james, and bosh put on introducing themselves to Miami talking about winning 6 championships. I hated Lebron from that point on. I was very happy when the Mavs won last year. I used to be a big Wade fan, but can't root for the heat with King James on the team. Fuck that guy

Messier summed up my thoughts as well. Strangely, my favorite of the big three now in MIA is Chris Bosh. I've turned against Wade over the years because I expected childish antics from LeBron, but Wade's complaining for lack of calls has been so outlandish this year and playoffs in particular, that it makes me really, really dislike him as well.

I have no problem with Miami winning a championship. I have no problem with Lebron's decision to leave and the way he went about it. This is America, land of opportunity. Hollywood, hot dogs and apple pie, big oil companies raking in big profits. All the glamor, bling and glitz! So the young man left to seek a better opportunity, there have been greater crimes committed. If he loses, he will definitely feel some criticism. Two finals in two years, I think we need to give the guy his due. A-Rod left for NYY and Deion left SF for Dallas, so it has been done before. People can hate, like I don't root for Tiger anymore! But if Miami wins, the critics will be silenced. Maybe now he is the underdog, maybe now he will get his ring.

Regardless of how he manages his Persona in the Media, James can ball like no other. I am done hating on him. He is so good, those who don't have him, hate him. It's just like a psycho guy's ex, can't have her, so no one should!

Durant is just as good, and I don't hear a bad word about him from anyone.

Durant has better talent around him. Put Durant on Cleveland back in the day, are they going to Finals? probably not. Durant doesn't get 10 boards a game, Durant doesn't play D like Lebron. I know, I am an OKC fan. Durant wasn't the MVP because OKC plays as a team, unless Westbrook get dunked on. Lebron carries a team. DWade is old and a hurt Bosh and they are back in the Finals. Like I said, aside from how he manages his persona, he is a stone cold killer on the basketball court. This will be a good matchup. And fuck everyone who says players can't hit game winning shots, it's fucking hard!!! usually there is a guy playing defense in the players face. So tired of hearing that. Who else besides MJ was a killer?

Agreed Durant is just as good if not better. He doesn't shoot his mouth off like Lebron. He makes a shot or dunk and he acts like he's never done it before. Lebron is a joke no matter what he does!
