wow,amazing that all your opinions is based on:

utah lost once at home to warriors in regular season,same utah won against lakers in play off's

houston won by double digits in los angeles.

come on man,start looking with bigger perspective.all big teams will lose games at home,dont just pick 2 games and base your western conference finals on that.plus tracy mcgrady is not houston's best player,yao is.

The Lakers haven't been impressive since the first 11 games of the season.  They just don't bring it every night, which is what you need to do in the playoffs.  And you can't just suddenly develop that mind set.  It's a season long thing.   CLEVELAND and DENVER are the two teams that understand this concurrently.  The Lakers play like the spoiled bunch of elite athletes they are (too much Santa Barbara in them I suppose).  Dream Team approach won't take them past The Nuggets.

It's all about the match-ups,if lakers was to play portland,portland could have stolen 1-2 games from the lakers but i don't see denver winning a single game.And I say this despite hating the lakers by passion.
 
denver is all about offense,no defense at all.nowitzki is a class player but they tried everyone on him,he kept scoring 35 with 10-15 boards night in night out.
 
Who will defend Kobe?houston won against lakers twice because they are better defensibvely than denver,they have shane battier,ron artest who can defend well.
 
can't wait the lakers-denver series to start so that i can pound on the lakers each 4 games.


I've got 10000 dollars in my bank account right now. I will happily bet you that Denver doesn't get swept.

I should have some time this weekend to that research...I know there are some posts of yours in my thread which is over 350 posts now, so, I'll have to do some digging and get back with you on that.

Anyway, I think the HUGE piles of chalk at the end of the commercial were definitely making fun of LeBron.....and why was he running around like a little kid talking about the Finals while Kobe was just chill and relaxed?

April 9th, 2009 - Staples Center, Los Angeles..........Lakers 116, Nuggets 102

Looks to me like the Lakers had plenty of offense in their last meeting a little over a month ago...and they held the Nuggets much lower than their current playoff average thru 8 games this season of 112.8 ppg...

I couldn't agree more. Lakers will have the advantage with 'Mismatches" in this series. But hey, let's take care of Houston on Thursday first before we go any further.

The Nuggets were on a 9 game winning streak prior to that game, they haven't had a nine game winning streak since the Alex English days, so that streak was bound to end. That game was tied at  55-55 at the hal,f despite not having their best Defender Kenyon Martin on the court. Next time, this extremely confident Nugget team will seal the deal.

I'm a Laker fan but I aint nuts and I sure as heck aint going to bet with my heart.

I plan on seeing if Denver is going to get 5 points and see how much the money lines will pay and I will look to take Denver and the points in that first game. The series will go 6 or 7 without a doubt.

The Nuggets are winning one they win at home in game 3 or 4! They are getting to much love! They won't beat the Lakers and if they do the Cavs would crush them with that dee they play! Lebron would go off on the Nuggets he is to good!

This is the biggest question? Who on the Nuggets is Artest or Battier. The Nuggets have no lockdown defender to stop Kobe! Nuggets are good but they aint great. To beat the Lakers, Celts and the Cavs you must be able to stop stars like Lebron, Kobe and Pierce. I just dont see the Nuggets stopping these great players in a 7 game series!

They suddenly develop that mindset every time they play a game in LA.  And since they have home court advantage they won't lose this series to the Nuggets.
