I have been betting on sports for close to 40 years and have never purchased a point ... why -- because the juice is too expensive !!!
Buying a couple points on this thread makes no sense because there is no cost involved ... if you win - you win but if you lose you need to pay the price of losing but not here because only net wins and loss's are counted with no consideration to cost.
And the biggest reason it shouldn't be allowed ... mention to a good capper anywhere on the covers site that you're hitting 65 % on the WillBetAnything thread and the response you'll get is "oh that thread --- that's the thread that you can add or subtract 2 points to all the lines -- therefore you should be hitting 70 % " ... it's like teeing up on the ladies tee for 18 holes of golf !!!
Buying points is a terrible idea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The whole idea reminds me of what is happening with the public education system ... kids find it tough to get a passing grade of 60% so instead of telling them to study harder ... what do the educators do ... they make the tests easier so more students can hit 60% so they can "feel good" but they have learned nothing !!!

WBA: can you make it clear to everyone that *YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BUY POINTS*? It's kind of pointless to have a record of everyone's record when some people are buying a point or two on games.

WBA: Crazy, sorry, I missed your disclaimer at the top. I really think that it's pointless to allow people to state that they bought points--if people feel like doing so themselves sure, but it leads to completely misleading results.
As an aside: don't buy points. The books offer them for a reason.
