Pacers have let the small quick guys eat them up this road trip. Teams have really been bringing their A game against them. I'm just not confident a Pacers blowout is the obvious play here. It could happen, but it's not going to be a play for me.

I will be going with our bread-n-butter play tonight. 1HU. If it doesn't hit go with the 2HU. Don't think I will chase though, just one unit. 1st half play will help me decide if I chase the loss. Hoping that won't be the case, and I can call it quits by halftime...
Good luck with all your wagers tonight gents
I'd rather be playing D&D.

Sorry guys...I whiffed completely on this game. It's been a while since I missed a game this bad. I know it happens over the course of the season, but still...my apologies. I'll lick my wounds tonight and look ahead to Phoenix playing at Indy on Thursday.

indy gets to show its championship form tomorrow. yes they will play the road weary suns on a 4 in 5 and has the 1st day back from road trip blues, but still they have to turn the tables and hold the suns to 80 points. and i think they can.

There really isn't a need for a big write up here. They played earlier and I felt like I knew the Suns offense pretty good...they shot lights out...but now Dragic is hurt. Even if he plays he's going to have problems as they are saying his elbow is swollen.
Pacers have been great at home...I'm going to start by playing the OH system. Taking 1h under...this Pacers team takes pride in their defense and I think they have something to prove against this team. The shooting percentages last time were crazy...I just think law of averages and Pacers D forces them into lower percentages.
I'm on my way to Chicago right now...gonna party up tonight so I don't know if I'll be able to watch much of the game, but I'll let everyone know.
Anyone here in Chicago? I'll be there for 4 days...gonna be there for the Super Bowl. One of my favorite cities in the world...Toronto and Dublin rank up there for me personally as "must visit" cities.

Alan, thanks for ur sightseeing advice.. Do you have any advice where to stay in Dublin, sth reasonable?
I lean on 1h under if dragic is not playing.
Stay at local bed and breakfast places. Best rates, great food and they can give you the best pubs and places to go to. Chains are junk there. They send you to the American touristy places. There was a guy asking about Ireland in the general discussion thread. I gave him a loooong response. If you're going over there check that out.

Well, apparently Dragic is feeling just fine...lol. Changes my thoughts about the second half. With the Pacers down I'm going against the OH system and am going to play 2h over just to let everyone know. Pacers will try and make a rally, and that normally leads to a lot of points. Suns won't let up as well.

Terrible...just terrible. It would seem I'm on a bit of a losing
streak. It's only a matter of time over the course of the season where this happens. When it happens I'll take a little break and wait til
I think I have a better feel for what's happening. I'm just over 60% on the season and I'd like to keep it that way. Probably gonna lay off the bets for a couple games...I'll still do write ups and see where we end up.

It's official...Andrew Bynum is now a pacer. I'll think about it for a few hours and then do a solid write up. However, my gut said a few weeks ago that it would be a good idea...and initial thoughts now are this was smart.

no kirilenko for the nets today. this is a huge loss, as they went on their 10-1 hot streak immediately when he came back. i dont think the nets care that they will get swept in the season series. they will likely meet in the ECF anyways. 11 is a lot to lay, but the nets being shorthanded and back to back will concede

I'll do a writeup for the game here in a bit...Looked into the deal for Bynum, and it's a no lose situation for the Pacers.
Pacers signed him for $1 million for the rest of the year...that's i
This means that he will play behind Hibbert as the backup center. That means the Pacers replaced Mahinmi for Bynum. It was already determined that the Pacers have a championship caliber roster before Bynum, so if he is hurt, or continues being an a$$hole...the Pacers lose nothing. If he plays mediocre, it's still an upgrade...and if he plays really good...the Pacers now have one of the most impressive front courts in a long time.
Larry Bird has already come out and said it's "ridiculous" to think the Pacers signed him to prevent Miami from signing him. I don't know if that's the truth or not, but it really doesn't matter. If Miami signed him and he played good, the Pacers would be in massive trouble.
So seeing as how it's only a deal for the rest of the year...it's only $1 million, and it has no cap effect for next year...I think this was a great deal for the Pacers. Even if he is a prick for the rest of this year, this is a locker room that will just faze him out, and they won't let him bring the locker room down.
Last point I'll make is sometimes in sports, fans like to have too many opinions, and too strong opinions. Sometimes it's best to look at someone's track record and just trust their judgement. Larry Bird has earned to right to be trusted. The moves he's made with this team have been A+ quality. Even though I know this team very well, whatever Bird decides is good for this team is good enough for me. If someone doesn't like this move they are saying they know better than Larry Bird on basketball decisions. Say that out loud..."I know more than Larry Bird on basketball decisions". Sounds pretty dumb...that's why I won't ever say it.

After one of the all time bad performances, the Nets get to face the Pacers. Nets on a back to back, but I don't know if energy is going to be a problem. Most of the Brooklyn players didn't play a lot of minutes last night. And they certainly didn't use a lot of energy rebounding as they only grabbed 17 last night.
Pacers seem to really struggle with the fast teams that push the pace...and Brooklyn ain't that kind of team. Pacers seem to dominate the half court teams especially on the defensive end, and Brooklyn is going to half to hit outside shots to score. Kirilenko being out really hurts the Nets, especially on the defensive end. Durant has been in the zone recently, and had he played the whole game he could've dropped 40 last night.
When Garnett, and Pierce were in their prime people seem to forget what aggressive lockdown defense they could play. That's what's really been lacking from them this season. Obviously when you're playing with Joe Johnson and Deron Williams defense isn't considered really important, but still...these guys aren't able to keep it up all game.
Don't let last nights game decided everything you know about the Nets. They went 10-3 in January...and actually beat the Thunder on Jan. 2. They have wins over several playoff teams recently...GS, ATL, and MIA.
Lance has already come out and said he's mad about not making the All-Star game, and I agree. He's played great...triple doubles, running the offense, and his rebounding numbers for a guard are amazing. I wonder if the Pacers let him prove a point tonight by having him the focal point of the offense. Regardless of where Indy attacks the Nets on offense, I think the Nets really struggle to score inside in this spot, and they're going to need their outside game to be on it today in order to keep it close.
I've hit a 2 game losing streak, so I'm not going to post any plays...especially with a big MMA card tonight.
I will say the OH system has been great with Eastern Conference teams
GL with everyone's plays...remember...you don't have to play every game. Sometimes the best way to make money is not losing it.

Just a thought, I think Pacers will try to find their rhythm and get back into a groove. Like Alan said the Nets are the kind of team they can be methodical against. With all the divisional leaders playing decidedly weaker teams, Indiana does not want to be left out of the discussion.
