GL scal....I am on my standard early sunday play on the OVER here, with the simple theory that lots of the ballers live large on Saturday nights, and might be a little tired which usually means poor defense....
In this spot, it is even more likely since it's South Beach, so I like your Heat play also...bad spot for Knicks as they get a MIA team that will be focused after 2OT loss...
I wonder how the Milwaukee Bucks "live large" on Saturday night..at the local moose club with some light chuck berry music and bingo?
NYC is another planet compared to many of these cities, even LA.

No offense Scal but I could see Heat win in a close one.
Ok but if you take a side here, it's better to take a team that you think will win.
It's very tough to say the Knicks will likely lose but get inside 7.
7 just isn't enough cushion if you are projecting a SU loss.
I need at least 10 in such spot preferably 11 or 11.5 or of course, the spreads the Sixers were getting this year.
I guarantee most of your dog bets at +7 win outright and the 7 didn't matter.
Since it is 7 here and you see the heat winning, it's a pretty risky play to back the Knicks in a small window like that. It would be a no play for me if I was betting it from that perspective. Not saying it can't happen but it's a tough thing to achieve.

2 things continue to astound me. 1) that anyone would just blindly follow picks 2) that these trolls on here trash Scal for stating his OPINION!!!! He's not MAKING anyone follow his picks, he's stating what he's playing, and why. You morons coming onto this thread trashing Scal for giving a detailed writeup as to why HE is making a play almost certainly are doing it because you BLINDLY TAILED a losing pick. Gotta love the mental adolescents that find their way onto this site Keep up the write ups, Scal. They're definitely something I look forward to reading for INFORMATION.

Will do.
The entire web functions as information overload when it comes to capping. If it's not condensed in some form of argumentation, you can just come on here and read "Cavs 12-2 on Tuesdays" and think you have a winner for the night.

12 hours before that was Friday night, right around the time the Knicks were finishing up a loss to the Wizards.
Melo has had 36 hours to rest his shoulder before this morning's shoot around. That is almost functioning as a back to back for all it intents and purposes.
How are the Knicks, with an injured Melo, an injury we still don't have a full grasp of, and having just flown out to south beach, about to step on the court to play their playoff lives against the heat of all teams, when their very worst performances of the year have come in these very afternoon games?
That is a very tough sell for people backing the Knicks and I'd need a whole lot more than 7 here. A LOT more.

Heat do appear to the the side. but the line at only 7 seems to be a bargain. not sure why the oddsmakers sent that number? i dont think losing wade fully explains it.

Atlas I would argue that the analogy is actuallu quite mature in nature, as most children don't understand the accurate relationship that transpires between a pimp and his prostitute.
