88-89 Bulls had Cartwright, Horace Grant, Scottie Pippen and MJ of course. The year prior of course was the year they drafted both Pippen and Grant. In the 89-90 season they drafted BJ Armstrong and pushed the Pistons to a 7 game series in the Eastern Conference finals. Whom ended up winning the title. Then of course the next year they won the NBA title...3 in a row. As a matter of a fact I believe the Bulls lost to the Pistons in the East Finals and they ended up winning the title both years.

What kind of players does LeBron need to actually win, the amount of money they invested in him its not as though they were flushed for FA cash to buy up top FA players their should be no complaints from Lebron about his supporting cast.

i do not think there is an NBA player who has ever played the game who could be inserted into LBJ's spot on the Cleveland Cavaliers and win a championship... not in a year when there are Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics and LA Lakers...

Jordan, or Kobe, or even Lebron could have won a championship with this team during a really shitty period of basketball... on a down year...

but even Wilt himself couldn't have helped them in a year where there were other quality teams...

the answer to this thread is NO... and it is not really even debatable...

name 1 team in the last 20 years that won an NBA title with just one star on the team, surrounded by nothing but role players... that is what these Cleveland Cavaliers are... 1 star surrounded by no all-star caliber players... that is not and will not ever be an NBA championship team...

people are so stupid, acting like this is a surprise... it is not Lebron's fault that the media force fed this pretender of a team down your throat... it is no Lebron's fault that in 8 years Cleveland Cavaliers management didn't land ONE SINGLE All-Star to compliment him...

this may be a hypothetical question... but the question that is NOT hypothetical is this:

DID Jordan or Kobe ever win a title with a surrounding cast that is comparable to Lebron's... and the answer to that is...

are you high? FUCK NO! Kobe and Jordan won every single title surrounded by AT LEAST 1 All Star... Jordan had 2 perennial All Stars for almost every one of his titles, and Kobe had Shaq for all but one, and Pau for the other one (not to mention Bynum and Odom, giving them one of the best front lines of the last 20 years)...

how can anyone suggest Kobe or Jordan would have a title, when all evidence tells you they would not? there is not a single thing that has happened over the last 25-30 years of basketball that would support any suggestion that Kobe or Jordan would have won a title with this team...

Ice is right on - NO&#xD;&#xA;Though obviously Jordan could come closer in a down year with no real high quality tms.&#xD;&#xA;The only guy in the last 20 yrs that got rings without any great, all-star quality players was Olajuwon but they were 2 sub-par quality NBA yrs when Jordan wasn&#x27;t playing &amp; Hakeem did it all as a center (O, D, boards, blocks, steals) &amp; they had a great inside/outside game with good 3pt shooters.

I don&#x27;t get why people say LeBron&#x27;s suporting cast is bad. He made it to the Finals in 2007 with a MUCH worse squad. The Cavs finished the season with the best record in basketball...the team must have has some talent aside from LeBron to do that.

Shaq, williams, and jamison all have been all stars. Shaq now is better than any big man Jordan had.(longely, cartwright, purdue,etc) Pippen is so over rated, how'd he do without jordan?
