Would Kobe or Jordan have been able to win with LBJ's supporting cast?

Kobe never wanted to be traded and would never have left LA. It was all positioning by him to get Mitch Kupcake to actually do something about Smushy, Kwame and Brian "Puppycrap" Cook (Compare them to James teamates) the teamates Dr. Phil ordered Kobe to pass the ball to at halftime of Suns game. That's what Kobe did. He did not quit!

The results: Mitch grows a set and fulfills his destiny and Kobe gets Gasol, Fisher and Ariza/Artest to pass the ball to. Oh, and some bling too!

Pippen's bulls had 50 wins without Jordan that one year.

one player makes all the difference... when was the last time an NBA team won the NBA championship with just 1 superstar surrounded by role players?  think about it, guys... we're not talking rocket science here... why does everyone always get this shit wrong?

Its funny but I didnt hear any complaints going into the playoffs about the supporting cast, Cleveland was already being fitted for the title before they even hit the playoffs.

How'd they fair in the playoffs?  Didn't pippen watch them get beat from the bench cause of a migrane that suddenly hit with 2 seconds to play?  Pippen was good but over rated, definately not top 50 of all time.  Although he did have a great run in Portland!

thanks for proving my point here... the Spurs first title was won with David Robinson... sort of a decent player... and the rest were won with Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, who were both All Stars on a regular basis, and during two of those championships Ginobili was widely regarded as the 3rd best player in the NBA...

you proved my point here... find the last team that won a title without AT LEAST 2 superstars on the team... meaning 2 guys who are both regulars on the All Star team... i can tell you it hasn't happened since the late 90's...

and for the record, as everyone around here knows... i was bashing the Cavs supporting cast since day 1, and i all but guaranteed that the Cavs could not win a title with that roster...

Best example is the 94 rockets.  arguable teams are the 03 spurs(parker and ginobli weren't perenial allstars yet), 04 Pistons  didn't have a superstar, alot of good players but no superstar.  06 heat Shaq still put up numbers vs celts if he does'nt count for Lebron he doesn't count for dwade.

Exactly.  Team always beat star.  All this talk about Kobe and the times he has won is when the Lakers have had a low post presence (1tst Shaq....then Gasol/Bynum)

LBJ has to do it all....and when he doesn't the haters come out trying to make sure that they spin what we are seeing their way.

Bottom line is, team always defeats star.  Even Paul Pierce said that....on any given night anyone could step up for Boston....but the Celtics knew all they had to do is stop Lebron.
