You're absolutley right, that Harrison guy sucks, don't know how Manning ever won with him. The astounding level of hate re: Brady is a thinly veiled jealousy. Brady is by miles the best QB in the game and you would give your left nut to have him.

best at what ? in 09 ? he needs to be buying the buff kickoff ret man a steak dinner .. you are talking about a guy who had surgery .. dont ecxpect that to not affect his mentality and his play .. scared type bitch , could be on the DL any day .. then they will feel like fools for letting Cassell go .. brady was as rusty and off as could be mon night .. or maybe it was fixed . lol
I bet every Qb wishes they could be as rusty and off as Brady being that he completed 39 out of 53 passes for 378 yards and 2 Td's. He is so good that even on a great night for any other Qb you think he had a bad night. Thanks for proving my point even further.

As a long time Patriot fan I am quite happy that Brady is their QB and what he has brought to the team. At this point in time I wouldn't want him traded for any other QB out there. However, this whole "best QB in the game" argument is highly subjective and simply irrelevant.
He was considered the "best QB in the game" in 2007 and what did it get him and the team? A Super Bowl loss. I don't see it as a consolation that he was considered the best.
It doesn't matter that I "know" Tom Brady is the "best QB in the game" because it really is just my opinion and who cares if it is true?

Veronica sweetheart you are very dumb.He was 39 of 53 for 378 yards and you are saying he was rusty and off. Do you not see how dumb you sound.Brady is an all time great dear.Maybe you should go clean something or put on the TLC channel because you know nothing about football sweetheart.

no , actually the bottom line regarding game 1 of the 09 nfl season for the pats is simply THE BILLS BLEW IT , GIFTWRA[[ED THE GAME FOR THE PATS BY BRINGING THE BALL OUT ON THE LICKOFF AND FUMBLING WITH 2 MIN LEFT UP 5 PTS .. END OF STORY RALATING TO WHO SHOULD HAVE WON THE GAME .. soooooooooooo ? what does this say ? the pats most def should have lost to the bills on mnf primetime !!!!!!!!!!!! soooooooooooooo what does this tell anyone with half a brain about who this pats team will be in 09 ? it tells me the pats are as suspect as ever , esp with the pt spreads they will have ..
you never addressed all i said in the feedback i gave .. agree the pats should be 0 - 1 right now ? agree brady will never be the same and he could go on the DL just like so many do on a regular ? agree the past can have nothing to do with what will occur in the future for a player as well as for a team ? LOOKS LIKE ALL NO BRAINERS ?
I will say that, based on what I have seen and how I feel, the Patriots are probably going to have to win shoot outs.
Should they be 0-1?
Not neccessarily. It is certainly possible (perhaps even probable) but there is no guarantee they would not have held Buffalo 3 and out and got the ball back. Jauron certainly would not have taken any risks. In fact instead of simply running it 3 times and punting, which would probably given them a great opportunity to win, he probably would have tried to throw a couple of safe passes behind the line that would have gone no where if caught anyway but would be dropped and preserved the Patriots timeouts.
Brady will never be the same and he could go on the DL (sic) just like so many do on a regular?
The same as what? He missed basically an entire season. After one game he is the 7th rated passer in the league. His rating is better then Peyton, Big Ben, and Donovan among others. How was his performance in one game indicative as to how he recovered from the surgery? Any player is just as likely to go on the IR so I don't know why that matters.
Agree the past can have nothing to do with what will occur in the future for a player as well as for a team?
I don't believe I have seen a post that would indicate anyone though otherwise on this comment. This is the only no brainer in the bunch.

They are a great team because of Brady.Brady carries them in plenty of games. This is not even questionable. You want to say Brees is a better fantasy league Qb fine,I will not argue with that but Brady is by far the best Qb in the NFL.He is a first ballot hall of famer is Brees? Seriously you are nuts to even compare the two.
your missing one thing, the pats D was dominant also during their run of SB's. if brees had half that defense in N.O. they would be in the superbowl multiple times. brady is good, but brees is so under-rated its unbelievable. just imagine if the N.O. defense can stop someone where they would be.

spiff , right , what i said in what i wrote are my opinions of what i believe most likely to go down .. in a way i say no brainer .. i knew before the game started brady would look like shit and be rusty and the pt spread was a joke .. bottom line the pats should have taken the L on mnf . soooo ? why is this relevant to brady ? because he sucked and the pats are nothing special foir the 09 ... this is my prediction . for whaever reason it gets there being right or wrong , the pats aint shit . this has been a public service announcment from E to the J to the MF R .

How fucking dumb are you.Brady suckedOh my. Don't run with scissors kid.

I am not saying Brees is not good but to compare him to one of the best that the NFL has ever seen is absurd.Ask yourself 1 question. If you had 1 game to win or 1 drive to score with which active QB would you want? If you answer anyone but Tom Brady you should never be allowed watch football again.

No problem. I'll keep it in mind. Only time will tell.
I do have a question though. What is your requirement for QB performance in order to qualify as not "looking like shit?"
You claim to be clairvoyant and knew Brady would look like shit and have are now, after the fact, patting yourself on the back that you were right.
He has the 7th best QB rating for all QB's this weekend. He had the 4th highest completion percentage and that is with throwing at least 9 more passes then any other QB this weekend. I suppose only the most vehement Brady haters would say that he looked like shit. I suppose you should start hoping he doesn't come back to form becasue if that is shit you should worry if he just starts playing decent.
Maybe Brady will never be the "same" as you claim. Maybe the Patriots "ain't shit" as you claim. We will have to wait until further in the season to see if those claims prove true. However, you were wrong about Brady looking like shit so your track record doesn't look so good.
Thanks for the public service announcement though.

every one knows dilfer won the superbowl as a starting qb for the ravens because of that defense. bottom line is you wont win without a decent defense
i dont consider roethlisberger an elite qb in the league. he is good but without that d he has no superbowls.
new england never had a defense that carried them to the superbowl
New England never had a defense that carried them? 2001 they had the 6th best scoring defense in the league. They held the "greatest show on turf" to 17 points in the Super Bowl. 14 points below their average. 2003 they had the #1 scoring defense in the league and they won the Super Bowl. 2004 they had the #2 scoring defense in the league and they won the Super Bowl.
NE regular season scoring defense by year:
2001- 6th / Super Bowl
2002- 17th/ miss playoffs
2003- 1st /Super Bowl
2004- 2nd /Super Bowl
2005-17th/ lose in playoffs
2006-2nd/ lose AFC championship
2007- 4th lose super bowl
2008- 8th/ miss playoffs
NE has had one of the best defenses in the league since Brady came in .... IMO only Pitt and Balt better. NE goes as their defense goes, like most Super Bowl winners in recent memory.
No doubt Brady is great, but his defense has carried them a little bit don't ya think? IMO Manning would have at least as many SB's with that defense behind him.
And as far as the "winner" argument goes..... doesn't BigBen have more 4th quarter comeback wins than Brady already? That to go along with his 2 SB's in 3 less years. Can you imagine Brady or Manning behind Pitt's Offensive line? They would have been retired by now.
