I ve really enjoyed reading this thread it kinda validates  that if you read read n research  the forum can help  good luck to all the guys from covers in the contest n vanzack for startn  this thread

Always been a fan, Vanzack. You have been a remarkably insightful poster over the years. Good luck this afternoon (wear a Bears jersey if you got one). I look forward to your World Cup thread (and maybe a little more posting throughout the year:) )

Well - I went 4-1 today.

According to my calculations....

If Philly wins tonight - I tie for 10th and win about 42k.

If Dallas wins tonight - I tie for 9th and win about 41k.  

Yes - I win less if I tie for 9th than 10th because of the amount of people that would be tied in each scenario.

Either way it was fun.  I went 18-7 down the stretch and only moved up from 16th to 10th.  Thats hard to believe.  The guys at the top kicked behind in the last month.

Congrats to Covers poster NFLTrends.  He will come in 4th if Philly wins tonight, and tied for 6th if dallas wins.  Great job.

Thanks guys.

Top 10 out of 1,050 entrants is a good achievement.

The guy who won went 55-26 this season - which is a sick 67.9%.  

Amazingly, the winner had NE, and the second place guy had AZ.  I dont know how that second place guy will sleep tonight.  He finished .5 point out of first.

Hey Van....IMPRESSIVE!!!...Now, tell me, do u have to pay tax on that???....The recent big  split lotto winner of 300 million got about half that!!!!...It's a damned disgrace!!....But hey, for u to do that in a most unpredictable sport is quite awesome to say the least!!....My best to ya!!!!

I don't think you should look on the negative side of things.  maybe its disappointing to you to invest 1800 and win 41k with that high of win %.  but the contest like most contests is top heavy.  I know you know all of this but sometimes its a help to hear it.  again great year you should be proud!  especially surviving in the upside start to the year.  crazy nfl this season.

Im not turning my nose up at all.  The more I think about it, the more incredible it seems to me that I was able to go 64%+ over 17 weeks picking 5 picks a week.  

And I had a great NFL season betting too....

So it was a great experience.  Take it off the bucket list.

And BTW - its easy to look back and say you got screwed on a game here or there - or "what if"....

But I had about a 2-1 ratio for coinflip games.  Thats what makes the difference - in the NFL you cant avoid the close games - and if you are lucky enough to win more than you lose - it makes all the difference.
