Lol, Andy Reid is 10x the coach that Shanahan is.  What kind of a joke biased rating are you equating a lucky year for Shanahan where everything has gone right for him including a pathetic schedule and offensive scheme that defenses will need an offseason to scheme against (look at the Rams lol).  Meanwhile Andy Reid will coach circles over that 49ers coaching staff, so will Spags.

With that said, the Chiefs will wipe the floor with 9ers and Jimmy G will fold like a lawn chair.  Mahomes is about 5 times better than him.  The Broncos elite pass rush could never get to Mahomes.  The 49ers pass rush has zero shot of stopping Mahomes.  Mahomes is not a statue QB.  He feasts on escaping the pocket, manipulating the pocket, swimming within the pocket and buying enough time for his speedy receivers to get open.  His fast accurate and powerful strikes then happen at an instant the moment his guys have broken open.

Mahomes is easily the best QB I have ever witnessed by far.  The only way to beat the Chiefs is to have an elite QB and elite passing game.  A running team has little to zero shot.  I cannot believe people STILL haven't understood this as all of even last season the "gameplan" was to run the ball and keep Mahomes on the bench.  THIS NEVER FUCKING WORKS!  As the Chiefs will outscore you and force you to throw the ball.  This is why you need an elite QB like Brady last season or Brees or Goff playing out of his mind last season.  Jimmy G has proven this season that he is NOT that QB.  Shanahan cannot simply scheme an elite passing game. 

Chiefs destroy the Niners here.  Zero question about that.  Anyone who thinks differently is either a Chiefs/Mahomes hater or 49er homer.  Considering I've been a 49er fan since 1997, take my words seriously.  49ers have zero shot of winning/covering.  Zero.

I been watching football for  a long time, and have witnessed great defense taking down  great  offense plenty of times. Especially teams with a strong D-Line. Go throw your money away  on KC- this game won’t be closed

This is what I am leaning.  Mahomes right now is as good if not better than Brady in his prime and has a much better surrounding cast.  Its fine to make the argument that player by player San Fran comes out on top, football is more complicated than that however.

I can't tell if you are being serious here.  Based on previous posts I'd say you're just stirring the pot, seems to be your M.O.  I understand why people want to lump Mahomes in with other high scoring "fad" QBs from the past but I say these people have not watched Mahomes play, probably just the highlights they see on espn.  It's irresponsible to compare this guy to Cam or a broken down Peyton playing in SB.  Mahomes has been shutout for exactly ONE half of football in his nfl career, not one game, one half.  They then proceeded to put up 31 points in the next half vs. the Defense that held the Rams to 3 points in the Superbowl two weeks later.  Again, Mahomes has lost ZERO games by double digits.  I'm sure it'll happen eventually but the SB is not that time.  

Reid coaching blunders is getting cover up by Mahomes greatness. There’s no denying Reid knows how 2 build great offensive teams. He’s A suspect head coach tho. 

This and the undisciplined football that the team will tend to play.  I'd say they have to play an extremely disciplined game on both sides of the ball in order to pull off the win.  

Smacksmitter I wouldn’t put too much stock into the Packers putting 20 up on us in the second half. With us up 27-0, the main focus of the Niners was to avoid injuries especially with the bad luck we have had with getting people hurt since week 4. As a result, subs were playing more minutes and the players were kinda pulling back as the last thing we can afford is injuries on the D. With this game being the super bowl, the guys on defense will be giving it their all both first and second half. 

Smacksmitter At the end of the 3rd Dre Greenlaw and K’waun Williams got injured . They took Dre out the game for precautionary reasons. From observing it looked like they were going more prevent defense and I didn’t see that same intensity in the second half as the last thing we could afford is an injury. Another factor is that the fellas on our coaching staff is good friends with Lafleur (pack coach). As a result they eased up and didn’t want to humiliate him. Trust and believe we could have easily won this game like 45-7 if we wanted to

Beating GB badly was expected, not something you should use to support the same level of beating SF can deal out to KC.

Lol there's a thing called wisdom from memory and experience and discernment. You have none of these things. Kc will be lucky to get 10 points Like they did in SB  1. Mahomes is  young John elway, or Cam from SB 50 ,in this scenario.

I did make a mistake  about Pats being the losing team in SB. And I thought Washington  had a narrative  to reach playoffs.  But my macro predict of SF was spot on. I said kc would win 41-20 and SF would win 37-24.. so I wasn't far off the actual scores ( those were my final predictions on multiple forums, I may have not finalized here because  at some point I thought -niners 27-20 ) you choose to cherry pick and have selective memory . 

Everyone always builds up the SB..great game coming !! Then what's happened the last few years?  Big anti climaxes ...Falcons can't finish, Panthers can't score, Rams can't score, everyone's  sweetheart Manning gets destroyed. These are the trends you need to study.

History repeats itself. The extreme opposite of what you expect ,seems to be what always happens. 

Young Elway vs SF. Young Marino vs SF. Young Mahomes vs SF.....trends= young super stars vs SF in SB.

The reason the books have it as a close game is because  you're dumb enough to believe it. Just  like the books  had Manning beating Seattle  (I'm fairly  sure that was the case) the books job isn't to tell you the truth. It's to lead you  in the wrong direction.  

You still watch sports like  a 13 year old boy. Gee whiz wally,  my team still has a chance. Anything can happen. His dad knows otherwise. He's scene this artificial  hype 300 times before.

There's a fundamental problem evaluating two teams in this manner.

For example, you do not want to compare the WR's from each team to each other, you want to compare the WR's to their corresponding CB's (and a lesser extent Safeties) to find mismatches. 

You want to compare RB's to the other team's DLine and LB corp and Safeties.

If a DLine is known to apply pressure to a QB and get a lot of sacks you want to compare that to the respective OLine and their tendency to give up sacks/protect the QB.

Using this last example, SF gets a lot of sacks, but against an OLine and QB on KC, they will likely not be that dominant since KC is top 3 in the league in QB protection.

So while I applaud the effort you put into your analysis, I think breaking down the game in such a manner does not lead to predicting the result you hoped to achieve.
