@davemsh going from 133 to 185 million was caving Im not sure you figured that out well......
U trying to spin it now? Lets not forget he wanted a fully guaranteed or near that of what Deshaun Watson got.. So $185 is not near $230....He got a good deal...he was never getting 230 what Deshaun got and this is what this thread is about. He will not be the highest paid for long...Burrow and Herbert are coming up...So yes he caved otherwise he would have have signed an extension a long time ago...This is most likely his 1 and only extension....let's be real here..The narrative was he wanted to be the highest or near highest in guaranteed money since he won an MVP and Deshaun did not...So Deshuan got $230 FULLY guanrateed...Lamar got $185....Now Who caved Here???? Why didn't Lamar get Deshuan money or fully guaranteed contract?..Where is $200-230..that would be a win for Lamar...Don't spin it..he is dumb and will lose out a lot in the long run....

Josh Allen up to this end of this season had made $68 million more that Lamar by signing an extension in 2021......Facts...Now wait until Allen get a new contract next off season with another 200 million guaranteed....U see where I am going here...

in the end jack had too many bargaining chips and the ravens simply couldnt counter them all. mvp, 45-16 w/l record, led team in passing and rushing last 4 years despite only playing 12 games in each of the last 2 seasons. he literally plays 2 different positions. that kind of value to an organization has never been seen before. ravens are paying 1 salary for 2 positions and they know they are getting away with highway robbery.

Hater? I am just baffled with all his accomplish that the poster above me posted he could not get a fully guaranteed contract........All that playing hard ball for a decent contract. Not even on Deshaun's level..contract wise...

LJ may have had some bargaining chips, but apparently only in BAL. No other team wanted to touch him. It was pretty much BAL or bust. LJ decided, without an agent, to play a high stakes game of chicken and Bisciotti caved. So it worked out for Lamar. I hope he lives up to his paycheck. A contract like this could haunt BAL for quite a few years if LJ doesn't stay healthy. Paying a guy $36+ million per year of guaranteed money to ride a bike on the sidelines is going to get real old real quick if it comes to that. And now it's crystal clear that no other team will be interested in buying out any part of that deal should BAL decide to move in a different direction in a couple of years. If BAL were smart, they would've used the complete lack of interest from other teams as a bargaining tool. Apparently they didn't. The good news is, Lamar can shut up all the haters by staying healthy and having 4-5 great seasons, maybe with a deep playoff run mixed in there somewhere. I won't hold my breath for it, but the possibility is at least there.
God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.

I am glad for LJ...novel idea he had in using Hurts' contract as a template for his own with a little added sugar thereby avoiding paying an agent. Hope more guys do the same avoiding those snakes who are nothing but grifters milking the athlete out of money he earned. I enjoy watching him play but hope he keeps maturing in the pocket.

Rock Ya Sin joins the purple and black ! I think it's a good pickup , could play just as solid as Peters without the emotional baggage and coverage lapses. Ravens making moves! Let's get Justin Houston back on board and we've got it made until the regular season rolls !!
Sip on that plus money honey!

My brother, please retain your logic, "never say never" in regards to more (NFL QB) money means less performance; (never a Super Bowl! really now, he's 26 and get's better by the year)
he's making to much money!
talk with me after the regular season, judgement day for LJ
On any given Sunday, have you forgotten the code?
have a prosperous season of NFL wagering

He's one the most overrated players in the history of team sports. He's a malingerer. He could have played last year but just quit on his team and every one of his teammates knows it. He's an average NFL quarterback at best. He's a below average passer and throws way too many interceptions.
