Stats are on line anywhere -- he listed QB rating not QBR rating. But rankings are about the same.
@jtoler
How many playoff games has Jackson won? They held Buffalo a couple year back to 10pts, LJ gave up a pick 6 to seal the game for Buffalo.
He's a flashy overrated (in his head) player. Yes, MVP before defense adjusted. What's he done lately? Now, 2 leg injuries end his seasons. Sure give him $250M guaranteed.

Blast away, dude. I'm not making this crap up.

You can break down NFL QBs into 3 groups - you have the top 10 - the best in the league. You have the bottom 10, who are the worst, statistically speaking. And then you're left with 12 guys in the middle. LJ is firmly in the middle in most of the categories. It's just not realistic to be a mid-tier QB and expect to be the highest paid, especially if you don't have an agent advocating for you.

Lamar should've took the generous deal the Ravens offered instead he made himself look like a fool. $250 mil, third biggest contract in the league, 50 mil a year QB pretty much highest paid on yearly basis. Guaranteed money of $133 mil(6th or 7th most) I agree it's a bit of a lowball move by the Ravens , should be about $150 mil... Maybe the Ravens did ante up for $150 mil and Lamar still rejected it. That's crazy that's Aaron Rodgers money right there, getting paid like a top 5 QB what more could you want.. Get paid good and have a chance to compete for a title..
If Lamar can't settle down for at least $170 mil guaranteed then don't know what else to say hit the road jack

Well if he was throwing to plumbers and cab drivers before. It's gonna be worse now, when they don't have any money to spend on other receivers, cause they gave it all to him.If he wasn't able to carry his team to any playoff wins while throwing to those plumbers and cab drivers, how's he going to win playoff games when he's throwing to people picked up off the street, cause the team has no money to sign the plumbers and cab drivers?

LJ has a phenomenal regular season record, when he's healthy. But he's missed 1/3 of the games in each of the last 2 seasons. His playing style makes him much more prone to injury than pocket passers. And his playoff record sucks, and he's never won a divisional playoff game. If he goes 17-0 in the regular season every year and loses in the divisional round of the playoffs every year, is he worth $250 million in guaranteed money?
If he had an agent, he'd get some good advice about his market value, which isn't anywhere near what he wants. Realistically, the guy should get a 5 year, $250 million dollar deal, with about $125 million guaranteed, and the bulk of the rest of it in incentives for staying healthy, winning playoff games, winning conference championships and winning SBs.

So true, he did have 1 great year and he does have a great record.
But what happened in the playoffs in his MVP year ?
The defense stacked the box, shut-down the run and when he fell behind all those TD's he had in regular season did not in any way help him come back when trailing and he needed to pass
He flat-out could not get it done. And hadn't since when he needs to mount a passing come-back in big moments in the playoffs he fails.
Could he improve in the future ? Well yes he could, but who wants to pay such a high price for maybe, could of, should of, let's find out type of QB ?
Apparently nobody. Can't say as I blame them based on his history in big spots in the playoffs.

Seems to me that he has up to this point in his career he has left money on the table and is trying to recoup it in one fell swoop.I lay most of the current mess at the feet of his agent.

So why aren't the Ravens, his own team that built an offense around him giving him $250 Million guaranteed if he went 45-16 with them through the REGULAR SEASON? I mean 45-16 WOW.. Think about it for a second him own team....It's not about collusion or the rest of the league has a narrative..but his own team who knows him the best....Red flags right there....If he was a slam dunk game changing player in his prime -26 years old..who has won an MVP and led the league in TD passes some 4 years ago..why are the ravens balking...All the media is saying he is a franchise game changing QB that can lead all these other teams to a SB but the ravens surly do not believe that if not they would have no hesitation and he already would have been signed. What is 60-80 million more guaranteed when you are competing for SB's every year?..Oh but they do..He has an injury history and availability is durability........He has not even passed for 3500 yards in a season..They know him best...

Who gives a crap about Josh Allen in this discussion? LJ led the league in TD passes 4 SEASONS AGO. As I took the time to outline in one of the above posts, in his last 3 seasons, LJ has performed as a mid-tier QB who suffers from the injury bug. If he's spent the last 3 years putting up average numbers, why in the world do you think he deserves to be the highest paid QB with all of it guaranteed money? What say you? Seriously, I'm interested in your opinion on this. Just please don't come back with the same old regular season winning record crap and how great his stats were 4 years ago.
IMO, davemsh is exactly right - no one knows LJ better than his own team, and they aren't willing to pony up anything close to what LJ wants. That alone should tell you something. It's certainly telling every other team something.
If LJ is so great and going to do such great things for the next 5 years, he should be more than willing to sign a $125 million guaranteed contract that is loaded with another $125 million in incentives. If he was willing to take that type of deal, we'd probably see a bidding war going on right now for his services. But since he doesn't have an agent and apparently doesn't understand the market or his value in the market, his position is getting weaker and weaker with every week that passes. An agent understands this, LJ obviously doesn't. I feel bad for the guy, because he's in way over his head and apparently doesn't have anyone in his corner who is giving him good advice.

Dolphins just picked up Tua's 5th year option - $23 Million so they are out the Lamar running as stated by them a few days ago..No Collusion as they backed up what they came out and said a few days ago and are rolling with Tua..
CJ Stroud..Anthony Richardson...Will Levis...Bryce Young....all going top 10...
Next year you have Caleb Williams who teams maybe waiting out for...
All these QB needy teams will be drafting a Qb rather than giving up 2 1st round picks and guaranteeing a ridiculous contract....

Carolina just traded for the #1 overall pick from the Bears....So they are out of the Lamar Action Jackson running as you do not trade up top #1 unless you...drafting a QB. No Collusion...They are backing up what they said a few days ago...
So Miami...Carolina...both out.....

100% in agreement... Who's left that would make a play for him? He overvalued hisself in a big way.
I don't think he's going to get an offer. Mahomes plays his heart out when hurt, Lamar stands on the sidelines waiting to get paid first.
He shoulda took the $133M guarantee, he'd be up for contract again before he's 30, which we all know he'll be standing next to RGIII by then, including the Ravens.
And those that claim he has no wide receivers it's because he's a running back that throws when he has to for the most part usually to Mark Andrews. No topflight wr wants any part of playing for the Ravens. Isn't it obvious by now?

Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson both drafted in the 1st round of the 2018 draft...both were eligible for an extension on 2021...Allen took his extension...Action Jackson did not...In the last 2 years since the extension...Allen has made $66 million....Action Jackson...$25 Million...Allen has made $41 million more than Action Jackson...because he has an agent so far..
