I like all four of your plays. Not to jinx you lol. But I'm thinking the Colts game is the hardest for me because I've been waiting to see which team will regress and now they face each other. Even on the road, and even after losing to Indy a few weeks ago, the dog might be the play there.
I think the Saints are superior to Philly even outdoors. I'll pay to see the Iggles win a playoff game. I think Chip Kelly will have problems in a playoff setting with his squad. Lower scoring game than expected, I think, maybe 24-20
Bengals at home are absolutely the play.
Niners will run the ball and score on one big play. Will that be enough? I'm thinking it will. Discount Double Check is awesome, but I rather like going against the popular QB as long as I have a vastly superior defense
I am watching the GB weather closely.
Expected to be less than zero without wind chill. Trying to come up with a reason that it would benefit or be a detriment to either team...

Last time I bet The Cocks that big ....was when you had a 5U bowl play on them......
Nice!
I was also on SC against Wisky. Scary for a while - and I think we are fortunate that for whatever reason Wisky didnt run the ball on every play in the second half. If they did - they werent going to be stopped - but for some reason they dropped back to pass and ran gadget plays when they didnt need to.
Then once they fell behind - they had to throw - but they were in control of the game until they started to stop running.

Hey Van, don't mean to bother you with more Hilton questions, as you explained to me about the runners in your other thread. I just realized my uncle lives Vegas. Is it as easy as he signs up, I text him my picks each week, and he goes to the LVH in person sometime that week for me(10 percent of any profits should be enough to get him out once a week for me)?
Im really eager to swing my "di*k" and take a shot at it and IMO the payouts are insane.

Thanks Van, how do you enter a contest in LV from New Guinea? Or is that an alias. Or can you do it via the net? I like your pics and the reasonings. Weather in CN can be dreadful and Do not think SD a west coast warm weather team to do well. Just my opinion and CN has been liters out at home. AC Green is a beast. GL!

Yes and no.
Certainly - your uncle could sign up FOR you. It would be his name on the contest - but also his SS# associated with it for any winnings. So in theory - he would be responsible for taxes due. I am not an expert on transferring the winnings to you for tax reasons - I would check on that if I were you.
But it would be that simple. He would enter the picks for you. The lines come out at about 5pm on Wed, and picks need to be in by 11am Saturday.
Another plan would be that he would be your official proxy - and your name would be on the entry and your SS#. But this would involve you having to be in vegas between June and Sept in person.
For me - it was the same as you - I just always wanted to try it out. It was truly a bucket list thing for me. Luckily - I think I picked the right year for me to try.

The yacht was docked at the Hoover Dam on Lake Mead. We were on a voyage from Equatorial Guinea to St Louis by way of Las Vegas.

Thanks for the info, man. I don't see why my uncle wouldn't sign up as "him," and do it under his name. Any tax stuff, he knows I'll take care of it up front for him. Good job in the contest and stay hot this weekend with your playoff bets.

I might have to enter next year. My sides alone without totals/teasers/parlays were over 65% this year as I'm 61% all plays with average juice less than -110. I don't know how I would fair having to do 5 plays strictly ATS every week. I think they should change it to an average of 5 per week so a guy could play more or less as that is what handicapping is about anyway, discipline.
On to the Bengals game, that is interesting to note about the Chargers "adjusted defense". However, how much stock can you put into that since they beat Denver and played them pretty tough the other time as well and they already have a feel for Cincy playing them right at this number once already.
You also mention Rivers is prone to silly mistakes. Well, he has actually been better in that regard this year than years past. The QB that has made more silly errors is the guy he is facing. Lastly, everyone likes to take about their great home advantage this season, but for a QB and coach with lots of pressure to win playoff games coupled with the QB and coach making some weird decisions from time to time, the dog is the play in my eyes. SD just escaped and they know it to get here. They should be playing free and easy as dogs. Something Rivers & co. have been much better than as the fave roll Dalton finds himself in.
Anyway, good luck and congratulations again.

Congrats on the contest Van. Would you still bet KC at -2.5 now?
Not for 3 units.
Maybe not even at all.
From +2.5 to -2.5 is worth conservatively about 50 cents. For someone like me who looks for 10 cent edges, I cant really say that a 50 cent swing wouldn't affect my wager.

Seems like a lot on covers and in this thread are questioning the Cincy pick...
At a very high level - Cincy's home form is ridiculously good. The obvious is 8-0 at home with only one of them being a win under a TD (GB early in the season).
When you dig in to the stats a little bit - one thing that jumps out at me is that SD passing defense adjusted for competition is the 2nd worst in the league. We all hear about Philly, Dallas, and Minny's terrible passing D, but SD (when adjusted) is only worse than Philly. If the weather allows for passing, I see Dalton and Cincy's receivers carving up the SD defense - it should be pass first and run second for the Bengals - and I just cant see SD stopping them.
On the other side of the ball - Im skeptical about SD ability to throw on Cincy - which I think they will have to do to keep it close. Rivers is prone to mistakes when pressured, and Cincy is in the top third of the league in sacks and hurrys.
Lots of other stats also point me to Cincy.... Take the home crowd - momentum - and this seasons results at home - I give 7 no problem...
GL
I was at two games in Cincy when they played NE and later against the Colts and the home crowd was crazy there. Nice atmosphere. Both games were in fairly bad conditions too with the Pats game being in the rain and the colts game being wet and frigid also and they still played well at home. Next week might be a different story when they have to hit the road for a rematch with the Pats if they win Sunday. I'm leaning Cincy too. GL bro

Will you try to middle Colts at +2.5, or stick to your original Chiefs +2.5 bet? Good luck, Van!
