Very lucky to win that Niners game.

That was truly a one play game - where any one play would have decided it - total coinflip.

3-1 for the weekend - I will take it.....

Also - 2 of the 4 playoff games were won or lost by simply what line you got.

Think line value is not important in the NFL?

Think about it - no matter how much you handicapped the X and Os, half of the games this weekend only depended on whether or not you got the right line.

Chargers were able to play very loose today, after last weeks almost debacle. There was a ton of pressure on them last week, they knew they were supposed to win vs KC backups, KC was able to play very loose in that game. This week they heard all week that they were gonna lose on espn, cinci 8-0 at home, they survived a almost should of loss to a kc team with back ups, I think they will be in the same mode next week as well, except Denver offense is not Bengals but I lean SD next week so far.

Great job on the Hilton Contest and this weekend. What a killer for me with the Chiefs and Bengals to go down as two of my 3 futures for conference and Super Bowl champs futures. Meh. I still have the Panthers as NFC Champs. Meh, again.

I''m WAY off subject here, but any feel on the Champions League futures market as of now? I know the likes of the Spaniard and German teams are the frontrunners, but do you see any value here or in a longer shot such as PSG or even an English side?

As far as CL goes.... For a midrange longshot - I like Atletico.

I cant really argue the PSG pick - especially because they should have no problem with Leverkusen.

I don't think any English side has a prayer. ManCity would be probably the closest to a contender - but I just go back to the Bayern ManCity game in Manchester - it was men against boys.

I know Bayern is really short at +250, but now with Lewandowski - I think they are value even at those odds. Barring a nightmare draw with successive tough teams - Bayern is the clear favorite.

Belgium is done to death. I happen to agree - but if you missed the 40-1's available last year - you missed the boat. They aren't worth the 14-1's that are out there now.

If you are looking for South American side - I think that Columbia is just about overvalued now - and boring old Uruguay might just be the best value of them all.

Lots of great football (the REAL football) to come after these NFL jokesters get finished.

I agree with Bayern being the frontrunner. The odds are short, but I just can not see them not making it deep. I will take a look at Atletico. Tip o' the knife shout there.

As for Belgium, I was all about it months ago. I was hoping to grab it at the mid 20s, but I don't think I will see it. I was leaning Chile as a possible spot for a long shot, but I just feel future odds that high are a lottery ticket. I think the key this year is to find that Uruguay of the bunch; a value dog that can make a deep run. I was pumped last WC as I was holding Spain and Netherlands tickets (each-way as my main investments) as well. I also had a small stake on Tina. It was one of the most stress free matches of all time; although I really would have made out with a Dutch win. Rambling...

We need a thread going on this soon. Surprisingly (for a huge forum like here), there was some very good information in threads such as yours. I just remember it was a good run for you, one Irish Tim would be proud of!

Would love to here some premature WC leans and thoughts.
