i know how to get the numbers. The main thing i am asking is how are you coming to the decision on which side to play?
As in the houston example how did you come to the decision to play houston -4.5 instead of miami +4.5? That to me seems to be the main piece missing in this system. There is no consistant way i have seen on deciding which way you choose the second have pick. Are you always going with the team that is favored at the start of the game?

The easiest way to understand the system is to simply do as Porky himself suggested on page 2 of this thread:
Follow the yellow brick road and he'll post the picks. End of story!!!

pinball it is not really the end of story. for a system to be a system it means that there are given plays. All plays must be chosen the same way and it should take out any emotion whatsoever, that is what a system is. So far there has not been any clear cut way in deciding what team to take the second half in this system.
For example, the houston game, the side that would make the most sense to play would have been miami + the points. Why? Because with this huge lead houston is not going to try and score anymore. They are going to try and play ball control and milk the clock. It would also mean the second half under would the play to make.
This is not always the case tho. Lets take the same halftime score as above and plug in the patriots for the texans. With the patroits leading 21 points at half u can expect bellicheck to take his foot off the peddle and therefore would make both the second half spread as well as the total a toss up for the most part.
I am not disagreeing with this system. I would just like to know how you decide what team you are taking in the 2nd half as BOTH teams will fufill the 10+ middle. This is a very reasonable question ask and so far to me it seems like emotion is the deciding factor on which team to pick and the middle is the deciding factor on which games to play 2nd Half bets.

Now for example the game on right now - ravens/bengals
If the ravens go into half with a substantial lead -> 21 plus i would not roll with them the next half unless they were getting points. I believe the ravens would keep the ball on the ground the second half and run the clock as much as they possibly could.
