You clearly don't know what possession means that's your issue here. Having one hand on the ball does not constitute as having possession. That is black and white. Not sure how you don't understand this
So if a running back has the ball a defender puts his hand in there to rip it out and has a hand on the ball that's dual possession too? I don't think you understand possession
I think you are clearly proving that you dont even understand the debate or the rule.
I would give up on this angle.

Am basing my replay off of eastern time again... at 11:47 the replay shows that when Jennings 2nd foot hits the ground he is laying on top of Tate. Tate has his right arm over jennings on the ball...but you cannot see where the left arm is. If his left was on the ball too I can see where the refs would be forced into the call that was made. As I run it forward further it appears the left was on the ball.
What the league needs to explain further is at what point can some posses the ball. If its when 2 feet hit the ground...I think "by rule" they might have got it right.
Couple other situations come to mind....the Calvin Johnson TD versus Chicago. Common sense said TD....rules said incomplete. And lets not forget the Pats/Raiders playoff game where the tuck rule came from.
I think this is a similar circumstance where common sense says INT but the rules say TD. Either way it was a tough call to make...replacements or not
I suspect we will get more info on the rules in the hours ahead that might shed more light on this

Hey Van, jerry austin, probably one of the best refs ever, explained who had possession of the ball and it wasnt the seattle player.
Greeny bay player had the ball touching his chest with both hands on it and was on the ground. play was over at that point

This is the game that brings the real refs back.
Can you imagine Ed Hocculi at home right now? He just popped a bottle of Crystal.

If you look at the point of contact where the ball touches a human hand it is Jennings' hands that actually CATCH the ball. Tate gets his hand in and touches the ball but he is not actually "catching" it. Again, look at he POINT OF CONTACT and tell me Tate is catching it. ZOOM IN, SLOW IT DOWN and look at the point of contact.
It was not simultaneous possession. Got to be kidding me.

You guys think the "real" refs would have had any easier time with that play than these guys did?
Please. Very tough play to rule. Even after an hour and 100 replays there is disagreement.

By rule , its not dude. Jennings caught it at it highest point by itself & clutched it to his CHEST signifing possesion. Just cause your touching it, doesn't make it simultaneous. Read the actual rule & it'll be clear to you. (and I'm not a GB fan)

are you drinking van? it clearly shows the packer player having the ball before other guy ripped it away.
your not always right van
Before? How do you know it was before anything. Just curious - are you drinking?
A still photo of that play cannot tell any story. You know that.

The other point people are bringing up is that Tate's rear end hit the ground first before Jennings legs hit the ground. That is enough for possession, and his hands were wrapped around Jennings and on the ball.
case closed---correct call!!!!!
