Here's another example for you Saints followers-check out the Superbowl in 1991-Giants vs. Bills-no one could stop the Bills-they rolled the Raiders to get there 52-3-Jim Kelly, Thurmon Thomas,etc.

The Giants had a QB named Jeff Hostetler but they had Bill Parcells, a good D and they didn't turn the ball over...who won that game? You can learn from history or you can get crushed by it...

How about Texas vs. USC in the Nat Champ game? No one could beat Leinhart and Bush, right?

But if you Saints people are interested, I have some Groupon stock for you to buy!

The saints aren't the 1990's Bills.  They are SuperBowl Champions.
If I am trying to talk myself into plays by referencing a game played between 2 different teams 21 years ago no less then that's a play I shouldn't be on.

The 49ers can win if the Saints turn the ball over 3 times and Alex Smith plays lights out.
That could happen but, I wouldn't bet on it.

Then maybe you should look at the Jets vs the Pats a year ago in the playoffs...who had the lights out offense in that one, bro?

Rain?? i checked with the Weather Channel long range twenty minutes ago, it will be sunny weekend.

Pro1 - i absolutely love this play.. I expect a low line and very little movement. Public should pound NO all week. SF has a solid chance to go to the bowl, imo. No love at all for west coast ever and they thrive in these situations.

feel like the line could get juiced more later. I think San Fran wins also will put something on the ml.

Texas beat USC with VY's legs.  Not sure if that had anything to do with USC's offense.  USC had no problem scoring.

Bunch of R-Tarts up in here saying the 49'ers are gonna beat Brees. Foolish comments by many. I like the guy that said the Saints are going to drop the hammer. All of you Alex Smith believers please look at 49'ers wins and who there opponent was..GARBAGE..Please look at there competition they play..GARBAGE..Please look at there division...GARBAGE....Is anyone getting the point here?!! Also to add to the mix please look at who they lost against and who they nearly lost against...I know nearly doesnt matter but blowing a 34-7 lead vs. The battered Rams is pretty bad and to add insult to injury the 49'ers lost to the Arizona Cardinals and JOHN F'ING Skelton...ARE YOU SERIOUS...And also blew a 2 touchdown lead vs the Cowboys at home in the 4th qtr....This ladies and gentlemen is why I love all you 49'ers believers...Your hopes will be let down year after year until you wake up and realize that Smith IS NOT the answer to your problems.

the competition angle isn't persuasive.  the 49ers were 4-1 against playoff teams.  the saints had a good record as well but were 1-1 on the road against playoff teams, where they'll be this weekend.  they also played just one top 10 defense on the road, which also happened to be one of the worst teams in the league, and struggled offensively. 

maybe the saints win this easily, but if you are betting them because of the competition angle, your reasoning is flawed.

To me....Bottom Line hands Down...If the 49'ers dont contain Brees right off the get go..ITS OVER BEFORE IT STARTED..Lights Out....Im not saying that 49'ers cant win because we all know in this industry everything happens on any given day/night but given these 2 teams I like Saints more and by A LOT

Saints D doesnt need to stop anyone... just like NE's D sucks and GB's D sucks.... it all about how many points the O can score... Saints will stop SF enough for NOLA to get ahead and that is simple to see... SF wont be able to put pressure on brees and protect agasint the run... Sproles and Thomas will hit the gap if they send everyone... and if they dont put pressure on brees, then he picks SF apart in the secondary.... There are a million examples of upsets.... what makes you think that it will happen here.... also most of the upsets that people are talking about happend when a team is a 10 pt dog and then win.... that happens most of the time because the favorite takes the dog too lightly (seattle and saints last year)... that isnt going to happen here... saints know it wont be easy.. they will have their A game.... Bet it

Drew Brees is on an atomic flame and they have have 3 solid running backs and 2 of them can catch screen passes very well.  There o-line is one of the most athletic in the NFL and biggest!  There d-fence has been creating turn-overs and San Fran offense is suspect at best!  Pressure and limelight too much for Alex Smith, take the proven winner and much hotter team.  Saints win 27-20

49ers beat the Rams and the Saints lost to them...lol
