Too much value here. This guy was -125 at one point. What’s changed? Only the talking heads doing a lot of talking about a secretive coach and organization. And then there is Shanahan and Lynch holding a presser to prepare everyone for picking Jones?! Isn’t that kind of strange? Is Shanahan really going to risk his career by drafting a dope like Jones, instead of a stud like Fields? And then there is this, one website has Fields falling below 4th only at +130?! While he is -180 to be drafted at 4th or above. What does that mean? The Falcons will grab him if he is available? I guess anything is possible. but at +600, this is definitely worth a unit.

Betting on the NFL draft has become more of a clown show than betting the Oscars...personally i hope the books get smoked from a group who have inside info with teams, but the general public will always provide enough profits for the books to eeak out a win
BOL with your bet BB, i will be rooting for you

I think he goes 3rd regardless of who gets him. Obviously Shanahan and Saleh are up to something. No way the Niners move up to third without knowing the Jets intentions. Absolutely no way. Either Niners want Wilson, and will trade up to get him on draft day, which gives the Jets Fields with the 3rd pick or Niners take Fields at 3rd. Mac Jones was not even a first round prospect until the Niners moved up to third. And why would the Niners be leaking like a sieve about their intentions regarding Jones?! This team is as tight-lipped as it gets. Then you have Steve Young, playing the role of a shill, going around saying the Niners really want Wilson but there is no way they’ll get him because the Jets have locked him up. What’s that all about?! The whole thing stinks of some machinations between the two teams.

Q: Is it fair to say that as the 49ers offense is currently constructed, Mac Jones is a more seamless fit than Justin Fields?
MORA Jr.: "Probably. And he's probably a bit more polished and defined. But I'm a big fan of Kyle Shanahan. I feel like he can take Fields and make him seamless very quickly. And he's harder to prepare for if you're a defensive coordinator, because he can run. So every third down, if you want to play 2-man coverage (two deep safeties with man coverage underneath) and Fields is the quarterback, you have to have a pass rush that is designed to take care of him as well -- you have to spy him or run games that clog the running lanes. That's not easy for a coordinator. You have to play single-high-safety stuff, and if one of your corners is hurting, now you're leaving him isolated. If you're down in the red zone and they're going to run the zone read, you have to school your guys on how to take care of the quarterback. It becomes a mess. It's hard to be a defensive coordinator coming up with a scheme to defend a quarterback who can beat you with his legs."
Q: So you're saying you would go with Fields at No. 3 if you were the head coach.
MORA Jr.: "I probably would. But once again, I'm going to justify that by saying I don't have all the information that Kyle and these other teams have. So my decision could never be as informed as the decision that they're going to make, because I haven't sat in the draft rooms and listened to the scouts. But I have a special feeling about Fields. I believe that all these questions people are putting forth about him right now are putting a big ole chip on his shoulder. It's going to motivate him even more. At one point, people thought he was clearly the second-best quarterback in the draft. Now we're not so sure. I think that's going to bother him and motivate him. Can it motivate him enough to make him a Super Bowl champion? I don't know, but I know one thing -- the guy's a dang winner."

My local has To go 3rd Fields -120 M jones +145 Wilson +275 Pitts. +400
What? How is that possible?! Lol
These odds vary so greatly between books that if they actually allowed people to bet big money you could easily middle everything and make a killing. Wilson is +5500 to go third at my book!

Yeah...lotta intrigue, bb...so Saleh shows Shanahan 4 jacks and says they're taking Zach Wilson at #2.
So Shanahan shows Saleh.................what exactly?
Love your "collusion" theory.

Yeah...uh huh...and how long did it take Kaepernick to go from the penthouse to the outhouse once the DCs had tape on him? 12-4 (2013) / 8-8 (2014) / 2-6 (2015) / 1-10 (2016).
Not for nothin'...but Kyle Shanahan's coaching stats look kinda like "WonderKap's"......6-10 (2017) / 4-12 (2018) / 13-3 (2019) / 6-10 (2020)...only 4 years to revert to the (mediocre) mean for Shanny...would have to say 2019 was an anomaly, not an upward trend, eh?
And Fields has trouble pulling the trigger on his 2nd and 3rd reads....and that was against NotSoBIG10 caliber competition. Yeahhhhhhh...Shanny gonna make Fields "seamless".

Collusion takes place on many levels and in many forms. Saleh could simply be paying Shanahan and the Niners back for having his back when the defense sucked his first two years, and paving the way for him to become head coach. It doesn’t hurt him or the Jets any if Shanahan know who they are picking but it helps his old boss tremendously. Now if you could only think for yourself...

The way I see it is saleh and oc lefleur are huge shanny guys that greatly respect him and even look up to him. Hell, they are gonna run his offense in ny. So Kyle and lynch probably figure if they gush about fields for over a month since the trade, the jets could consider changing their minds and snag fields. Could be wrong, but it’s not too far fetched. Will find out soon.
