49ers are keeping Jimmy because they will deploy two quarterbacks next year, like the Saints did the past couple of years with Hill, to flummox defenses. They are going for the championship next year with Jimmy as the starter and a dynamic, running QB as his back up. The kid will be groomed but also get valuable playing time/opportunities and is there as insurance if Jimmy gets hurt again. If I’m right, then there is no way they are drafting Jones, who brings nothing new to the table except a little more accuracy and better footwork. 

49ers not going for a Championship...they thinking long term....Lance does nothing top help the team next year....Rams own that division.
