I had a bad week in the contest last week going 1-3-1.

 
Every loss was within 1 score of the spread, and just didnt win any of them.
 
Last week, 9 of the 16 games in the NFL were within 1 score of the spread.  That is really tough to beat.
 
My picks for week 2:
 
Colts +6
Texans PK
Steelers -4
Bucs +3.5
Jags +1
 
GL all!
 
somebody used to post the top 5 Fav plays of the super contenst every week..if you faded them each week consistently you would hit about 66%

Not true. Some years the favorite or consensus plays did quite well.

48.2 % last year. 40-42-2
46.9% in 2016. 38-43-4
54.2% in 2015. 45-38-2
57.1% in 2014. 48-36-1
43.4% in 2013. 36-47-2

hou is a no brainer. If it misses it misses. NYJ feels square but my partner had it and Denver as his top 2.  Denver I like just feels a bit high. But Oakland on an epically short week and in mile high and already turmoil there from chucky...Just hope they can cover 6.  getting Rodgers +7. I don’t care if it misses - to pass on that game ever imo is criminal.  Dallas feels like shouldn’t be laying 3 to anyone let alone division Game like this.

God the “new technology” is no joke effing horrible I’ve spent literally 20 mins TRYING to post in this thread before realizing I can switch back to the old. I’m an idiot. 


Dr. John is a bit concerned if you think think Texans and Jets are your picks of the week...

The math actually indicates Tennessee should be short favorites in this game. Similarly, the Dolphins game should be closer to pick --- you're getting close to 3 points of value.

You may want to consider taking the other side on both, to mitigate the substantial risk.

This could be another tough week for you...terrible scheduling spot for the Colts. That game has real potential to get ugly.

Similarly, the Titans are underrated, even with Mariota's terrible play at QB. It is quite shocking how quickly people forget that they were a respectful force at the end of last season.

Thank you to Vanzack and Barnstorm for putting the info in this thread!! I have done well in the NFL for the last 3 years, might finally play this event one year but the information here is very helpful-especially the consensus top cappers picks..

Can you locate James Solinas's name(might be one of the Top ones)? He won 3 years ago and finished very high last year

Have heard him on VSIN...it's not by accident..

James Salinas may be one who changes his name year to year, so hard to track him unless someone knows which name he has used each year. Then I could look him up. What name is he using this year? I heard he was named Insider Trading one year.

Steelers simply outclassed.

 

Saints lucky they even won the game...didn't even sniff the cover.

 

 

Texans. Pathetic. Why didn't they attempt the go ahead 55 yard FG with just a few minutes left? Guess they thought their D could their D should be able to stave off Gabbert?.....an_shake

 

Staying positive though! 17 weeks is a longgggg marathon. Hopefully Oakland and NYG can get me a couple covers (or at least 1) and salvage the week.
