Great info as always. May I ask what was your major in college? I want to be able to come up with some type of system also. Thanks in advance.

PCZ, I don't pay attention to trends unless the sample size is substantial enough.  5 game - 10 game - 20 game... these are meaningless to me.

Ever since the start of Thursday Night Football, road teams travelling farther than 1,500 miles for a game if they just played on sunday are 0-14 ATS and 0-14 SU ALL TIME.

Yeah I saw that stat in LC's thread.  But I think oddsmakers already factored that into the line by setting it at -6.  I did, and that's what I got too.

Wow that's a tough call.  I'm as stumped as you are.  Rams have #10 ranked run defense.  Jaguars have the #21 ranked pass defense.  Skins have the #11 ranked run defense.

Note to self: Vikings OL can't block! Ponder running for his life.

Note to self: Schiano will have this team playing hard every week and Freeman to Jackson and Williams and Martin will do damage all year.

Well, they can't pass block.  AP has had no problem finding holes against good run defenses all season.  Even after throwing out that 64 yard touchdown run, AP still averged 4.2 YPC against the #1 ranked run defense in the nation.  But the Bucs definitely are not known for a ferocious pass rush.. so clearly something was wrong last night protecting the quarterback on the Vikings end.  Gotta give credit to the Bucs defensive line too though, they came to play on a short week.  They really stepped up after last weeks divisional melt down.  That's a great sign for their locker room.

Chicago looks great on paper.  They're projected to win by 13.  Obviously the Panthers are becoming a desperate team, but they don't seem like they have the type of locker room that turns desperation into positive adrenaline.  I like the Bears to get the win and cover.  They're a great teaser option to get knocked down to -1.5 or -0.5 depending on your line.

Out of those three I like Denver the most.  They're heavily favored on paper playing at home on prime time after a bye week.  The other two games are coin flips.

Thanks alot, I'm relatively new to covers & I'm playing w/ a system that gave me  atl -3' (42' o-u) & CHI -13 (41 o-u), so we are likely working off of some of the same principles/numbers. I'm having trouble weighing strength of schedeule & any advice would be apreciated. The only games we have any real difference on were: MIN -4' (45), ne -4' (46'), oak/KC o-u 47, DEN -6 (56). Thanks again

I don't know how many college football guys are lingering around today, but that injury to Lattimore might be the worst knee injury I've seen since Mcgahee.
