Well shit, shit, shit... that was not the start too many expected from the Leafs was it? I really thought that Vasi was going to be the goalie that got in the Leafs heads but it turns out it was their own Mr. Samsanov. And when did Bunting turn into Kadri???, and I don't mean the Kadri that played for the Av's either. Leafs did bag 3 on Vasi while being outplayed so it shows it can be done, he is having a sub-par year (by his standards) so if the Leafs can get settled down , shake off the nerves and get that f*@king monkey off their back .... blah ,blah, blah you know the rest. Congrats to all those who walked the dogs last night, and congrats to the Kraken for breaking their playoff hymen, they have their win now, so it's time for Vegas to get their collective shit together and defeat the monster. Oil and Over can be had at +135 tonight and I think that will be my only play ,unless you guys can convince me otherwise. Doc, you mentioned Dubas going to the Flames, I think? The rumours I read all mentioned Pittsburgh going after him? Anyhoo , Best of Luck to Everyone tonight
What the hell??? I'll become a Leafs fan .

So the Dogs in Lippsman Split (modified version) go 7-1 in Round 1, as only the Isles failed to grab a W in the first two games.
I'll reiterate that I don't think the loss of a 1st Liner matters as much anymore as when the Man came up with the angle years ago. Too much depth and talent now, that overcomes loss of a guy like Fiala or JE Ek.

Well, Florida/Boston went over but not the way I saw it. Was that Boston taking the foot off the gas (doubt it at 37 SOG) or will we have a series after all? I am actually thinking we will get a split in Sunrise and it'll head back to Boston at 2-2. I am seeing a pesky, gritty Florida team that will not go away easily. Wow, the news gets worse for the Canes. Teravainen with a hand fracture and will undergo surgery today and miss the rest of the playoffs. While I think the Canes will get pasted the Isles this round, it does not bode well for them moving forward. Dallas came out with a little red arse in them last night. At this point, this is the series that I am enjoying watching. Physical, offensive and nasty. Liked the refs last night tossing people late before the crap hit the fan. Will be interested as Ek and Klingberg were skating yesterday and will probably return soon. Was only able to last 2 periods of the Oil game. Kings came out flat and that just propelled the Oil. Kings needs Fiala back. I have been impressed with Korpisalo in his two starts.
What will we see tonight? Hopefully better early games than Tuesday. Something tells me that the Rangers go up 2-0. I just don't think the Devils can make the proper playoff type adjustments needed in their game at this point. They will learn but we will see. Just like Dallas last night, I expect all 4 home teams to come out with some fire. No way in hell am I touching the Leafs. I will say this, imo, if the Bolts put the first one on the board, it could be another long night. Cernak and Eyssimont both listed as OUT and Hedman is ?. Went back and looked at that Eyssimont hit and it to could have been called a major. Ok Nate and Cale, time to step up. My early thoughts are the OVER in this game but I will let that one simmer. As mentioned, Sea Monsters have the Avs number this year. Will be hard to do but I am again feeling Jets taking a 2-0 lead. I just like Helley in net. Read and can't remember where, in the Jets history, when they win game 1 of a series they are like 5-1. Early indications is Ehlers will not be ready to go tonight.
Fill in the blanks. What do you want to talk about?

Understand and wished I knew that answer. No matter what, the system was once again positive in the first round by multiple units, if you played games with or without 1st liners. Amazing. First round is DONE, no plays tonight.

I don't think Hedmans going to play either. Jeannot could be available however. But why not take the extra 2 days of rest until Saturday, at worse you have the split which is really all you want OTR. I'm not saying give the game away, this series has 7 written all over it again IMO. Don't see the Leafs losing tonight and you know who my Boyz are. GL Doc and thanks for your good work!

However, hope springs eternal, so the Leafs are going back with Samsonov and I hope that he's got that 'nerves' game out of his system. With Bunting out of the line-up we'll probably get to see Knies slot in somewhere, maybe some youthful enthusiasm will help. Yes, I'm gonna roll with my Leafs again this time
Going with Leafs and over 5.5 at +155.
Good Luck Everyone

Another point worth mentioning. Florida is the ONLY team to beat Boston 3 times this year. And, if Lyon doesn't let in that softie Monday, could it have been 4 times.
