I NEVER EVER in my WILDEST DREAMS expected THIS
 
seven in a row to start the playoffs and winning game #3 @ the Garden where they had trouble all season? lighting up Lundqvist, who is a Vezina finalist, in games #1 and #3? doing the "lazarus" in game one after being down 0-3?
 
I STILL ain't BELIEVING IT but I'm sure ENJOYING the RIDE!!!

Hell of a game tonight. Your PK d is insane... The Guins clearly outplayed us. Take Jagr off tonight its easily 5-1.

Have to figure it is a coast into the finals
 
Flyers will be shorthanded about 7-3 every game
 
 
Back in March, I strarted a thread, where i posted my Pens + 860 to win the cup.
 
I hedged some with the Rangers this round, figuring which ever team won this round, would win the cup

I actually though the Pens played really soft after they got that early 3-1 lead and were lucky that Flower was sharp. biggest BAD SUPRISE for the Rangers has to be Lundqvist turning sieve in games #1 and now tonight. he plays like he did in the regular season and the last round and the Rangers probably hold home ice tonight. Jagr is STILL a FORCE when he's motivated. I would say 3 of the 5 Pennies goals were REALLY soft.

when the Pens had that losing streak early and THEN lost Crosby, Stations sportsbook here in Las Vegas had the Penguins cup future @ 28-1 so I threw $200 on them 'for shits and giggles". NOW I'm wishing I had done a nickle or dime!!!

I have to agree with pucksrus. I think that the RW's are going to have something to say about that not to mention the Flyers or Habs, who STILL ain't out of it
 
although Penguins vs Stars in the finals would sure work for me. I have futures worth over 5 dimes on each

hey I said in other threads that they "played soft" after getting that early 3-1 lead and were lucky that Flower was on and Lundquist turned sieve otherwise the Rangers could have done to the Pens what they did to them in game #1. I have no doubt that this series could have gone either way. it's really come down to goaltending and so far Flower has outplayed Lundy.

Lundy has pissed me off this seris. He has looked brilliant for strechtes and awful for some.

The worst is our PK kill and Defense. This has to be adressed in the Offseason

PK looked great against Devils, often holding them to zero SOG ( I know NJ isn't an NHL caliber team and Boston U would probably get a few SOG during a PP ) but, the penalties aren't killing them as much as WHEN they take the penalty.

The Rangers always seem to take stupid penalties, at the end of periods, and right after grabbing Mo back.

I can't stand Hillary, but to say she's communist is as inaccurate as someone calling Bush Hitler. 

Penguins are the best in the east.  4 years of having the #1 pick and having the good fortune of sucking when guys like Crosby and Malkin are in the draft will do that to a team.  You guys get Crosby and Malkin while others in the past get stuck with the Alexander Daigles of the world when they finish last.  My Flyers beating Montreal is FAR from a done deal.  Montreal reminds me of past Flyers playoff failures - - we would be the better team every where on the stat sheet except on the scoreboard, outshoot teams by like 33 -15 and then lose 4-2 because the Lindros line would get shut down, we'd hit posts, miss open nets, and our goalies stunk.  Very frustrating. 

The series could easily be Philly 3-0 or Montreal 3-0 depending on a play or two changing each game.  Amazing. 

Flyers, if they make it, will not lie down for Pittsburgh and will give them a better series than NYR or Ottawa.  Pens are 0-3 all time against the Flyers in playoff series, so they are due.  Should be interesting.

Where's that guy that was calling all the Pens fans assholes and saying the Rangers would either sweep or win in 5? 

He strangely disappeared after the series started. 


Pens are not going to go 16-0, so the key will be to see how they rebound after a loss.  I think they are almost better served dropping one meaningless game to the Rags, rather than hosting Philly or traveling to Montreal at 8-0.

I'm still trying to find out the LAST TIME or IF a team has gone 7-0 to start the Stanley Cup playoffs. I would imagin that IF it's happened it was probably after the 1967 expansion that brought in the Minnesota North Stars, California Seals, Los Angeles Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penquins, and St. Louis Blues. those teams all really stunk vs the original six.
