That's interesting. When it comes to my favourite teams I am still die hard. But gambling has affected me as a sports fan for sure. I used to watch sports even if I had no dog in the race but I can't tell you the last time I watched a game without money on it.
I also never bet against my teams. As a habs fan I really don't think it affects me that much but I am a much better gambler when it comes to football. if the Patriots werent my team I would have made a shitload against them vs Denver. I just couldn't do it. I guess I should though, even $100. It is something...and if my team wins then I really don't care.

I saw it was +105 over on 365 with 5 mins left. Absolutely absurd price. If they knew there was going to be 4:30 of empty net, would have been -200 minimum. They obviously haven't built it into their odds in these 3 goal games.
Bet365 doesnt represent the true market value, right

Yea, they just looked defeated with no interest at all. You'd think in 4:30 you'd get a COUPLE breaks with out of control pinches, but nothing.
No need to apologize about them. At this stage in my life, I'm a gambler first, and a fan second. I was at game 6 vs Montreal and as amazing as it was, didn't have the same effect as going to Mets game 7 vs St. Louis in 2006. I'm still a fan, but gambling has ruined me in terms of being that die hard fan that lives and dies with the team. After that Mets game in 06, I couldn't eat for weeks lol. Right now, I'm more mad at the Rangers for the crazy amount of money I've lost on them over the course of the playoffs, than angry at them for getting swept in the cup.
Thats how i feel. I lose interest in teams/games/sports when i dont have money on it, and its sad in some kind of way. Normally i remember when i was a kid watching my soccer team on television with a bowl of candy would be the best thing ever, and something i would talk about for days and weeks with my friends the following day in school if my/our team had won the game that i only just followed on television. Now, i cant do that anymore. Not even from a neutral stand point do i enjoy the game that much if i dont have any $ on the game. Really, if i watch lets say Packers - Lions, all i think about is lines and then some more about lines. For example, if they score a touchdown within 5 minutes of the game then in my mind i think: wow thats good for the over backers and those that took Lions +7.5, great start for that one. I just cant watch a game and exclude it from a gambling point of view which kinda sucks tbh. I always think about gambling when watching some sport, in one way or another. This season in the NFL (im a raven fan btw) i had money on Ravens under 8.0 season wins which i thought contained value, and i also had Steelers to grab more wins than Ravens @ even money too. It was kinda sad watching Ravens games this season because it was so ambivilent when youre a fan but then fading them every week in and every week out... But i do feel longtime bets contribute to me enjoying the games when i dont have money on just that particular night, when i bet on like lets say Cleveland over 30.5 wins in the season, it feels like i become sort of a fan of Cleveland in this season and that feeling is great, and then i dont have to gamble on every of Clevelands games, i can watch them without money on them which feels good for me to be able to do that because i bet them ages ago to get over 30.5 wins for example. So longtime bets kinda solves that problem for me...

Yea, I hear ya for sure. I do bet against my teams but only in regular season games. Haven't done it in the playoffs yet, but fearful I'd get to the point where I would.

Really well said. Especially for me since 99% of my bets are made ingame, I can't possibly watch a game without thinking how that effects the lines. Even when watching games in a sport I know nothing about, I am constantly checking the ingame lines and comparing across other markets. I remember being a kid and watching Jordan vs the Jazz in the finals and thinking it was the greatest thing ever. Now, games are meaningless to me unless I have a way of betting it. The 9th inning of a 12-3 baseball game could be way more exciting to me than watching the superbowl. Nature of the beast.

And funny enough, the Super Bowl would be the kind of game where you would expect to be able to stay away from gambling and still be entertained, right? It should be the kind of game where you can sit down and enjoy it and have lots of fun pop beers and get plenty of entertainment. Sadly, i just bet 4x more on Super Bowls than i would do on a regular night with the flawless logic: "Its only super bowl once a year".... I even bet on Super Bowls even if i dont find any of the sides containing any value at all... I dont think ive ever predicted the right winner of a super bowl anyways, maybe except for Packers - Steelers but ironically enough thats the only bowl ive watched without betting on it.
Sometimes i wish i had the mentality of a 8 year old (even tho some may suggest i have it to this very day).
Even if i watch a basketball game and i dont have money on it, and one teams does something amazing like trailing by double digits with 1½ mins to go and still manages to come back and win, then normally i would get excited and go crazy and be like "wow what an amazing comeback" and i would jump out my seats. If this happens then i will just be like: "Probably rigged - i bet vegas had 80% of the action on the losing side" or something like that will run around in my mind.

Damn. Why is that the case? Makes no sense to me. What online books do you have available then?
They're blocked to americans cause of how difficult it is for them to do business processing payments to the U.S. Our government doesn't exactly take kindly to online gambling that isn't fully run and dictated by them.
Bookmaker, and betonline are my main ones right now. I have been limited to pretty much worthless levels at 5dimes, heritage, and bovada. Heritage is the one that is trying to work with me atleast.

How do you like 365 and what others do you use? Based on what I've read on sbr, 365 is EXTREMELY quick to limit winners.
I like Bet365 a lot. The best bookie for me all round. I havent been limited so far, only on some kind of plays. For example when i wanted to be 1k on a NFL game only 600$ got accepted in the first place then the last 400$ was sent in to a trader that had to accept/decline in, but it got accepted. Other than that i havent had problems with limits.
I use:
- Betsafe
- Nordicbet
- Unibet
- Danske Spil
- Tipico
- Sportingbet
- Ladbrokes
- Bet365
Bet365 is my favorite one out of these.

Outside of the last 3, I never even heard of the rest. Then again, I really only know about the bigger european books.

Yeah many of them are rather unknown, like Danske Spil is the name of a danish bookmaker only here in Denmark where we have 5 million citizens, so only danes bet at that bookie for instance. Back in the day, just 2-3 years ago actually Danske Spil used to have monopoly on the betting market so... Since then the betting market have been more liberalized. Betfair and Betsafe is owned by the same people. Unibet is a rather big european bookmaker too. Tipico not that big so not weird that u havent heard about that one either. Out of the ones you listed bovado was the only one i had heard of before.
