Women's World Curling

Just a quick note for the night. Really like a lot of overs on the first day, I might be a little cautious if this was in Europe but here on Canadian soil, where the ice will be terrific, I feel good about it.

I like Scotland and it went up from +200 to +250 so put a good size future on it and for fun a couple of long shots Denmark +1800 and the Field at +1500, as I wanted Germany.

Okay, I am hoping to have a little more success this Women's Worlds, now that it is on Canadian ice. Again, tread carefully, as last year was a disaster. Plays I like today.

Kor/Czech - Czech/Italy -Kor/Swe - Scott/Rus - Swiss/China

Like all of the above over. Only under play for me is Usa/Cdn

Scott -1.5 vs Rus, Swe -2.5 vs Italy, Swiss over China, Czech over Italy.

A couple of longer shots I am playing small are Korea +2.5 vs Swe, Germany vs Denmark and States +2.5 vs Canada.

Saturday worked out well. on Ger/Scot under and Russia for morning draw.

With you Ang, at the fifth end break both looked solid, but they folded in the second half.

Afternoon Draw, I am on China, Korea, Swiss all medium plays and small Czechs.

Totals on Swe under small, the other three games all over again mid-size play.

Lines fine last draw, totals not so good.

Tonight, on Den +160, Germany big vs Russia.

Totals, under in Germ game, over in Can/Swiss game and Usa/China game.

Me too. In the span of 30 seconds, both Ott and Germany sail their game winning shots wide, losing both and hurting my futures. That and the Jets Collapse in the third, is one crappy way to sign off a weekend.

Like two favs, Scottland and Sweden this morning and two dogs in Italy and Czechs. Italy strictly a value play.

Lean to over in all games except the Sweden game. Czech favourite game over, followed closely by the Italy game.

beamjim, you fairly confident in Scottland?

I'm thinking about layng the juice and making a decent sized wager on them to win....

Hey, C.L. I have three plays this afternoon I really like. Kor/USA over, Italy/China over, and Sweden to beat the Swiss. Again, no guarantee especially in womens curling, but I do like all three a lot. My fourth, which I think is great value is Korea over the U.S.

I thought I had seen it all until today. The Czech/Canada Game, wow.

Tonight on the Danes +2.5, and the over. Was already on Scotland vs USA this morning.

Like Germ/Swiss under and China/Russia over.

I feel like every 6-5 game I have had going into the 10th, where I am on the over, hasn't one produced a steal by the trailing team or a deuce by the team with hammer. China/Russia another prime example.

I can't begin to say how impressed I was with the Danes last night, great demeanor, they can throw their hits accurate and the skip made a nice shot to win. On the flipside what is going on with Scotland?

I find team Canada, a little too chatty for my liking. The backend likes to seem to play for the camera and if I hear the second, say "nice clean release, let's go" to Heather as she is sitting in the hack, I am going to have a remote stuck in my Tv Screen.

Morning Draw- If Priv can be Holland(which she did last year) I have no problem on a value play at +275, over Canada today. Also like Denmark as a slight fav over China. For totals like the Denmark over and the Swiss over.

Afternoon Draw- Like Sweden -1.5 over Russia and again the way Germany is playing I will take Italy at +150 and Korea at the same line. Best total for me will be Korea/Denmark over and will probably play the Germ/Italy over and Scott/Czech over in midsize plays.

Some tough luck last night on the those totals. Sitting good in the Canada game and they can't even generate the chance for a deuce in 9 to cost us our total. Then Wang can't hit the four foot, to send it into an extra end, although that did seal the Korean win. Wang has had count them 5 7-5 losses this week. She is usually an Over player so that hurts a bit.

The way Canada is playing (save Nedohin) how do you not take Korea at +250 this morning? Also like Czech/USA over and Swe -1.5

Well and for good measure, how about another 7-5 China game just for fun.

Tonight, on all overs, Korea and Denmark -1.5 bigger and smaller on the Czech game. If Scotland loses to China this afternoon, would add Swe -1.5 to mix.
