@undermysac I don't have an opinion on the Chargers-Gettys game (yet), but any stats from this season for SD have to be weighed with the health of the team in any given game. From missing both of your stud WR's, to their best (arguably) defensive player, to the O-line injuries, to the QB's cracked ribs. The health of the Chargers will have as big an impact on this game as any other factor. PS; yes, I referred to them as 'SD'
That is you're right, Hugh. But as an LA resident who followed them in SD, they're definitely LA to me. The only team that originated from L.A. (granted, it was just one year) and the only team to have stayed in So. Cal their entire existence. Maybe they've should've been branded as SoCal Chargers.
Anyway, as to the rest... Our depth pieces have stepped on defense, but I can't expect them to do that on Offense.

See more of the same here as ODB's favorite QB continues to play solid football
i'm having flashbacks of the cheezit bowl already. the guy has looked like a stud but let's be real, man. has he really even been challenged? he has had a walk in the park damn near every game. i wanna see this kid play in a playoff game on the road before i start eating my words on him... or collecting his rookies for my pc. lol. i was holding strong to the "rookie card" you mailed me until my kid got a hold of it.

this was beautifully done.... welcome aboard. it reminded of the end of the movie, "waiting", where the kid pulled out THE GOAT! if you haven't seen the movie, seriously watch this clip. great sentiments on the chargers as well
thanks for starting the thread, bws
No team is as good as it looks when winning nor are they as bad as they look when losing

Here's a nice tidbit for you guys, Icon might not like this. The Chargers have 10 wins this year. The combined record of those teams they beat is 53-105. The only team they beat that wasn't under .500, is the 8-8 Miami Dolphins. Something I posted in last week's thread. So the Jags are 9-8, an above .500 team. Let's look at the Chargers losses this year. @KC, vs Jax, vs Seattle, @SF, vs KC, vs LV, @Den. The last 2 losses they've received were vs below .500 teams.
You're right. I don't like it, but I'm aware of that. I just don't know how much not having a healthy team (I mean, not just having one or two players out, but a plethora at key positions) factors into this. The Chargers are the healthiest they've been since the start of the season.
Here's another (incomplete) stat that may not factor into this game, but the road to the Super Bowl in general:
Here is the streak other teams have to go on to win a Super Bowl. Some of these streaks would set a franchise record:
Not the mightiest of stats but some of these teams have to go through a pretty long stretch of being undefeated to win a Super Bowl.
Does anyone know offhand what the longest win streak leading to a Super Bowl victory was? I think it might be the Giants, but don't have time look it up while at work.

I worked at a video store when that movie came out. (A ma-and-pa video store, just gotta make that clear.) I didn't like it at first, but it was a grower. That running prank was one of the better parts of the movie.

It's very wet and rainy here in L.A. You'd think this would favor the run game. Who has the better run game? I'd think we might see an under in this game to be quite honest. I'm going under 1st half and FG (half a unit each).

Uh, yes... Not sure why I even brought that up. Sort of a random thought while peeking into the thread. It's mostly covered. It rained in the stands a couple of weeks back, but not sure it ever hit the field.

No, but the food there is equivalent to what you'd get at a 7/11 or from the frozen food section at Costco. I'd go for the better vegan option if they had it.
One of the few gripes I have about SoFi.
Actually, I take that back about frozen Costco food, as that is actually better tasting and a go-to option for me at home.
I'm still playing the under and willing to cede handicap mastery to monnroefikis should I lose.

All 3 Bengal td's were the result of a turn over or followed one.The Ravens out played Cincy in 2nd half hands down, the td right before half time was the direct result of a coaching crime. Anyone liking Balty should consider taking the 6' now because if Lamar practices on wed. he probably will start & my guess is the# may drop a point. Now will he make a difference after not playing for 5 weeks? One thing it surely would do is boost the morale of his team mates.

That's fine, but up 24-7 at half with Buffalo also ahead, not sure Cincy really gave a crap

Rest assured they did not want a coin flip and it looked to me like they were trying, but if what you surmise was true dang if that's not risky business.
