And what an amazing coincidence it is that the ONE THREAD I am critical about a black male in (and justifiably so) gets FEATURED on Covers front page as a top member blog...

YOU JUST KNOW a mod (I wonder which one) is laughing snidely somewhere behind his laptop...

No need to laugh. Ivey needed to be called out. And it doesn't make me look bad in any way...

You really wonder why here Scal? A post from you critiquing any member of the black community is like Haley's Comet man, such a rarity that it deserves special attention.

Reread almost all of the posts in this thread. If anything, Beets has GAINED credibility by boxing you.

How does a mod gain credibility by boxing someone. Making a statement like that can do more harm than good.

The thread which garnered Scal a boxing was again in my opinion a stretch to prove the intent sexist. A lot of his threads are just that... a stretch.

Scal and eye rarely see eye to eye, although we are usually on the same side of these issues. To be fair I have to agree with him here on the sentence. Probably not a popular stance on the issue but it is my opinion.

Good post Billy, as I stated earlier in this thread I didn't read it in any way as a knock on race.  I thought it was about coffee and sexism.

When Scal talks about the NY teams, the Giants, Jets, Knicks and Nets I listen.  He's more than a solid capper.

Scal is obviously black but that's OK.  I think Covers is a better place with him here.  I don't agree with him on most topics but at least he makes me think for a split second.  It's always good to hear from someone that disagrees w/you.  Life gets pretty boring when everyone is saying yeah your're right. 

My biggest problem w/Scal is he never does anything positive for his race.  Even if he helped one black family or child or anything it would be a nice step in the right direction.  Scal get involved in some capacity helping your race, by talking about it here is not the answer.

Don't look too deep into what I said. Was just pointing out that he didn't LOSE credibility to most of the posters around here.

At any rate, arguing Beets' reasoning isn't going to get Scal out any faster.
