You and Beets are doing NOTHING in the way of promoting GENERAL DISCUSSION, which of course encompasses topics of race relations, because you are OFFENDED I speak the way I do about white males, you being one of them. That is what is called "dereliction of duty."

Wouldn't you be much more effective in changing hearts and minds (which has to be the only reason you post things on race-related topics, because if it isn't, then why are you wasting your energy?) if you were able to discuss these things rationally?

Something about honey and vinegar?

Then again, if your intent is not to change hearts and minds but to just stir shit up, then by all means please continue with your current strategy.

You are an idiot. Obviously. I am not saying there is not racism. BUt it is not near as extreme as present here in day to day life. I have a ton of African American friends and not once have I heard 1 of them complain about their job situation. They have worked for hard and have gotten what the deserve. Matter of fact 1 just got promoted over a white guy with the exact same qualifications and he called it unfair because there was no interview. THe bottom line is you are way too extreme with all of your views. It makes it impossible to take you serious. Just like dumbass Al Sharpton and Jesse JAckson.   Too over the top and any time they can stick their nose in something they do. Comes back to Entitlement. Unfortunately, you have little to do with what is a national issue. Blacks are suffering from housing, employment, health care and general societal discrimination daily. This creates chasms in wealth and status that widen each and every day.

What I say does matter, because if it didn't people wouldn't pay attention. And really, if it were someone else with another name or avatar, the result would be the same. Race DOES matter in America because we are a multicultural society. If people didn't think that was relevant in terms of racial hierarchy, they'd leave me be like they did with RichardA/JerryRice and his incoherent maniacal ranting.

I am simply mirroring the general attitudes that the black community faces on a daily basis, that is, largely hostile (even if it's presented subtly). 

And frankly, it's two-thousand-fucking-eleven and I, and people like me who know history, can quote history, and knows its relevance to the current race based situation in America, are tired of blacks (and women, and hispanics and asians and muslims etc. etc. etc.) suffering from what are now systematic civil rights abuses fully entrenched within American institutions.

Also, I am tired of the 'white whine' whenever I bring up the topic or counter a thread topic dealing with black crime. Why is that I have to appease the dominant group in a fashion they find desirable? Why must I come to a meeting with roses and daffodils and drop the petals before my adversaries to present my point as they approach. 

Sometimes, ya just have to kick the fucking door down and barge right through. Given the discrimination minorities are currently suffering from (see the employment discrimination example above), its time for action not appeasement.

I genuflect to no one. If it doesn't change minds, oh well. Outside of black exceptionalism (i.e. Obama - who is biracial btw) the larger black community is still suffering from mass discrimination because of skin color.

And I am over myself. I am not even myself. I am a name and an avatar and wouldn't care if you spun a roulette wheel to change it to 37 other combinations of different names and avatars. The message would still be the same.

Plus, you can 'help' me by talking to Beets, not me. He's the one with the problem and he's the one who boxed me for racism in a thread about sexism and again, MANY respected members called him out for it.

I JUST QUOTED A MAJOR STUDY, that refutes each and every one of your remarks about racism not being as extreme as you think it is. No one cares about a select group of black individuals who are in your circle of friends. It's like ANY black success (see Obama) then has a halo effect on the economic and social viability of of ALL black Americans. That is poppycock.

Your are espousing a long-held belief by whites, dating back to right after the emancipation, that blacks, 'are treated very well or equal to whites' according to white opinion polls. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

And again, you are not grasping the point about entitlement. I am speaking about EQUAL OPPORTUNITY. That is completely different than saying a black person should get a job just because they are black and have been denied previously. Right now, they are being denied SOLELY because of their skin color at a 33% clip (and that is only what is quantifiable). To eradicate those barriers is NOT a form of entitlement. Keep using the word with regard the the employment discrimination argument and it won't be only me calling you a dumbass...

First, he's not black. His mother was the same race as yours.

Second, you are trying to imply that one black male being 'ushered' into the presidency on the minority vote ("Hopefully blacks don't vote for him again) somehow has an effect on the economic and social status of 40 million black Americans just because he was elected. Makes sense? 

Also, Obama would have lost the white vote if whites alone voted. Why is it, that blacks only voted for Obama because he was black, but whites are perceived to have a race-neutral vote when at the ballot bos???? Dominant group thinking ladies and gentlemen....
