Recession risk grows as Covid-19 continue to surge
The world's top economies took huge steps in recent months to recover from the worst recession in a generation. Now, with coronavirus cases surging again, that progress could be reversed. What's happening: Business activity has fallen back into decline in Europe, according to the latest reading of the Purchasing Managers' Index from IHS Markit, which tracks the manufacturing and services sectors.
Across the pond: It's not just a European problem. US PMI data arrives later this morning, providing a snapshot of the economy as more than two dozen US states report rising Covid-19 cases. Economists surveyed by Refinitiv expect both manufacturing and services activity to remain roughly flat compared to the previous month — a sign that the US recovery could be running into trouble, too.

The percentage of Americans willing to take a Covid-19 vaccine appears to be falling – and if only half of the country is willing to get vaccinated, Covid-19 could stick around for years, Dr. Francis Collins, director of the NIH, warned on Friday.
"When I look at the attitudes that are out there now about this vaccine and about who would be interested in taking it – it's really, really troubling. I've been talking so optimistically about how we are likely to have a vaccine by the end of the year, but if only 50% of Americans are interested in taking it, we're NEVER going to get to that point of immunity across the population where Covid-19 goes away! It could be here for years!" Collins said.
Only 51% of Americans said they would try to get a Covid-19 vaccine once one is widely available at a low cost, according to a CNN poll conducted by SSRS earlier this month, and that percentage has dropped since May.

(CNN) The US just marked a harrowing milestone: It recorded its highest one-day number of Covid-19 infections Friday at more than 83,000 -- more than 6,000 higher than the country's previous record set in July!
The daily numbers will get worse, experts warn.
"We easily will hit six-figure numbers in terms of the number of cases," Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, told CNN Friday night. "And the deaths are going to go up precipitously in the next three to four weeks, following usually new cases by about two to three weeks."
This comes as the country's seven-day average of new daily cases surpassed 63,000 Friday -- an 84% increase since the average started ticking back up in mid-September, according to Johns Hopkins University data.
Health officials say the steep inclines follow the reopening of schools and colleges across the US and have been largely driven by small gatherings.

Here are 4 countries located in very close proximity to CHINA !
Each of them got their first case of covid-19 on or about the same day as the US, and VERY well-known for their widespread and persistent use of face-masks in public.
Here's how each government responded to the pandemic:
Taiwan death toll = .3 per million Hong Kong death toll = 14 per million S. Korean death toll = 9 per million Japan death toll = 13 per million trump-regime deaths = 695 per million

Death counts are pummeling. Advances in therapeutics and treatment practices are diminishing the mortality and lasting effects from the virus. Many nations boasting of over 95 recovery rates and stabilizing infected to a less than 1 percent death rate.
The rates of infection is extreme but recovery is nearing paced with infection levels witnessing a five day recovery in most nation to nation surveys with advanced medical treatment systems.

This is decreasing the mortality rate before therapeutics we were nearing 5 % bow we are under 1 % yes it still a global pandemic and it will continue he to evolve but it is not as.toxic as once understood.

In America we running 70 k new cases a day

Well, it's unlikely the virus itself is any less lethal....it is what it is....
And trump surely has *NOTHING* to do with the drop....in fact, quite the opposite....He's holding superspreader rallies which will ultimately kill some people as a direct result.
BUT, what's happening the death stats appeared to have drop compared with April and May *BECAUSE* we know which people are most vulnerable and these people are taking much stricter mitigation measures than ever before...thus fewer deaths.
Mind you people are still getting gawdawful sick, but surviving.
And I read today where there are discouraging signs now that "alleged" immunity after being infected might well last only a short time before any "supposed immunity" is actually gone! Time and science wil tell. Hopefully we have a vaccine before then...

Trump isn't a doctor or scientist he doesn't believe in science. Lucky for us there are doctors scientists and laboratory researches will to work in spite of his critism.

Unlike Russia or Chinese methods that a group is guven half placebo half the vaccine and everyone the infection. Straight from a vial shot sequence.
Ama gives half the shot of vaccine half a placebo and then allows the environment to provide the infection. Literally we are waiting for people to come down with the virus to address effectiveness of the vaccine.
It a slower but more humane process.
