@wallstreetcappers
You are a perfect example of the pretentious amd condescending tone of today's democratic party. How they have lost touch with many of their constituents, and are viewed ultimately as a judgemental party of elitist, right or wrong. Couple this with the reactionary nature of elections, and the first opportunity voters who, being 18-19 and on lockdown, are now 22-23 and working or attending in-person schooling, you see a downshift from the 2020 ballot counts. It's no shocker that the democrats have lost ground with women, working class voters, latinos (traditionally red anyway) and African Americans. People are tired of being told that "we" (democratic elitist), know what's best for you. You can't be trusted to make your own decision.
Just look at your above post. You can't fathom that a person who chooses to vote republican simply has more confidence in the path forward provided by Donald Trump than that of Kamala Harris. For weeks, months, you have been judgemental of Republican voters. Saying that they have been grifted, that they are misinformed, that they think a change in administration miraculously changes the human condition. You have stated that the border crisis is exagerated/fabricated. That's unequivocally false. You have stated that the office of the president isn't the end all be all, and doesn't magically change things. Now is true, to an extent. This country is run by oligarchs, by the intelligence community, by foreighn powers (Saudis, etc). However, president matters. And if it didn't, then why back Kamala Harris? Why back Joe Biden? Simply because you dislike Trump as a person? Which brings me to my next point, democrats claim a republican voter is misinformed when said voter makes his decision based on policy but that sane democrat makes his decision bases on personal disdain of an individual.
On the African American male voter. Democrats, for too long, have treated black voters, specifically black men, as if we can't think for ourselves. As if we have to be taken by the hand and led. As late as 2020, Biden said, "If you're confused on who to vote for, you ain't black." He doesn't even respect us enough to use the word aren't. In this election cycle, Obama attempted to admonish black male voters for hesitancy in suporting Harris. It backfired. Black males are the only group who are targeted in this way. You never here latinos being told, "You're a sell out, a tom, if you vote red." You don't see members of the LGBTQ... community being told they'll lose their card if they vote red. African Americans are waking up to the fact that what's good for us is what's good for any American. We are Americans first. If you believe Democrats provide the best path forward, vote for them based on that. Not because you are obligated.
Truth be told, I am liberal with most things. I disagree with the party on most facets of economic policy. While I am a fiscal conservative, I believe spending must be managed, I am opposed to tax cuts for the rich, and fir corporations. I am strongly opposed to trickle down economic plans. However, the powers that be that influence economic policy have both parties in their pockets. And regardless of who's in office, what will be will be. As I have said many times. I support the strictest of border policies. You have tried to gaslight people who vote on border policy, saying that administration doesn't matter. That no president solves the border. That is false, and the numbers prove it. Obama solved the border. Crossings were way down. As a matter of fact, when Trump's border policies were criticized, conservatives pointed to the Obama era policies of seperating familes and caging detainees. Remember the cages? I'm very pro-cage. I don't believe foreign invaders should be afforded constitutional rights. They aren't asylum seekers. They're interlopers.
