61% of voters support banning assault rifles and semi-automatic weapons.
Vast majorities also support raising the legal age to buy guns to 21 (81%) and requiring mental health checks for all gun purchasers (80%).
There have been more mass shootings than days in 2023. As of Friday, there have been at least 172 mass shootings in the U.S., according to the Gun Violence Archive*
Yes, majority of voters want more gun control. GOP stands on the way of this critical life of death measure, don't see they winning this agenda.
@Europa
Devastating, the violence with guns!
Even the FOX NEWS poll gets it right!
But republicans in congress just won't.

Nevermind California has 39 dead this year from mass shootings and they are graded an "A" for gun laws. I wouldn't have a problem if these issues were logically approached. But they never will be.
Common sense gun safety laws work in California which has a 37% lower gun death rate than the national average according to Center for disease control. Since early 1990s, California cut its gun death rate in half which is 4 times the decrease in the rest of the US. Worldwide, overwhelming evidences show gun control is the most cost effective way to reduce gun violence.

The rate of per capita gun violence and gun-related deaths from mass shootings, is astronomical compared to the mean average from all other nations on the planet.
'Mean average'? Define that for me.

CA has the most mass shootings from 1982-2023 with 25.
Raw numbers don't reveal everything. Missing context is that California has the largest population with the second largest number of guns. Compared to other states, California mass shooting homicide rate is lower than the national average according to Gun violence archives. Californians are 25% less likely to die from mass shootings. Since mass shootings comprise about 3% of all gun homicides, gun death rate is statistically more significant. If the rest of the US has California gun death rate, thousands of Americans would still be alive.

Raw numbers reveal a lot. They do not have more than twice as many folks. They also do not have twice as many guns per capita as the next states do.
Try again.
MORE than TWICE as many as the next nearest state. Wow.

Huh, California has the second largest number of guns (according to a poster here) and CNN says;
The indisputable fact is that where there are more guns, there are more gun deaths.
I like the way they always commingle suicide by gun as a "gun death" rather than just murder by gun. If ya going to kill yourself your will find a way even without a gun.

Fubah you remind me of a young Sylvester Stallone once he worked off all the baby fat and really started toning up . Think Rocky 3 . I’ve been watching you . You are a stud on this whole politics thing bro . A real piece of iron .
How about taking me under your wing and teaching me to fly ? I’m a real fast learner and I follow directions immaculately . For example , this one time someone told me to go to hell , and guess what ? I did .
It’s not like they write about in the Bible pal . It’s much worse , and seriously speaking it’s not for the faint of heart . Anyway , I digress , how about it brother ? Can I put on my little helmet and ride in the sidecar of your motorbike as you make America a wonderful place to pay taxes again ?
Me and you pal , you’re Suge Knight and I’m Tupac . Let’s roll baby !

I know right . It’s depressing . How are we supposed to live in a world where people get mad at you and then shoot you to death ? It’s just plain weird . Worse than a Ouija board even . Damn . Has me constantly looking over my shoulder ya know ?
Did you see what Francisco Oropeza did ? Brutal .

Those bought off by the NRA always call it a mental health crisis. How many major mental health bills have those same dotards ushered through Congress?

Common sense gun safety laws work in California which has a 37% lower gun death rate than the national average according to Center for disease control. Since early 1990s, California cut its gun death rate in half which is 4 times the decrease in the rest of the US.
