Watch the candidate tonight who wants to use the power of government to make your life better or God Forbid, even worse. How's that worked out the past 4 years...Yes, we are at a tipping point with all the disastrous destructive policies of the Biden/Harris administration... The American people aren't that stupid to fall for it. If we are, we Sadly deserve what we get I feel very lucky and fortunate to have lived in the times that I have.  I feel terrible for families that have young children.  What kind of world will it be  like in 10, 20 years...OMFG...especially with the trajectory we are on now.
Ha,this is your comeback to me questioning your statement about it being the "devil at work",as the reason this kid shot up his school.Sure seems like you got no comeback as to why the "devil" isn't putting kids from other countries on shooting rampages.Hell you didn't even mention the "devil" once in your response. So much for that "it's the devil at work" argument. So then your reasoning is,"I got no comeback so I'll just blow it off like I never said it".

Ya I guess I don't really think as the government as my "friend",but I certainly don't think they are out to get me.And I certainly don't view my government as my enemy, like it seems you do.And I certainly don't view the russian government as our friend, like a certain ex-president is trying to make people of this country believe.

Well if you wanna say something about having the 2nd amendment as your answer to this country giving every nut in this country access to weapons. You forgot the 2nd amendment says it "is the right of the people to keep and bear arms FOR A WELL REGULATED MILITIA",it says nothing about every day citizens having the right, are you in a "well regulated militia" Crusher? Is having the right to protect ourselves from a "tyrannical government",the same as having a right for every nut job in this country to shoot up schools?I don't think so.Other amendments have been changed, there is no reason why this one can't be changed or ratified also,to fit the times we're living in.

You admit to "power corrupts",but then you are ok with giving complete immunity to the one in power that has been corrupted.

Here's some advice, don't watch tonight looking for the candidate who wants to use the power of the government to make your life better, look for the candidate who isn't using the power of the government to stay out of jail for the crimes he's committed.

See I don't feel terrible for families who have young children. My son and daughter have young children, and their future is as bright as they wanna make it.They have every chance that I ever had,to do what they want with their lives. If your children or grand-children don't have that chance, then that's on you.

    @MrWhatsItToYa

That was a completely irrational rant. You say that the Second Amendment only applies to people in a "well-regulated militia", then state that 'the Second Amendment can be changed just as others have been changed'. But according to you the Second Amendment only applies to people in a militia, so what's there to change?

If you either understood complex English sentences, or read someone besides a Democrat activist explaining the Second Amendment, you would know that what the Second Amendment means is 'Since a well-regulated militia is essential, every citizen has the right to keep and bear arms'. It does NOT say that only militia members have that right. It says that EVERY CITIZEN HAS THAT RIGHT, and the reason EVERY CITIZEN HAS THAT RIGHT is that a militia is important and the only way you can have a militia is if you have an armed citizenry, some of whom may join a militia. The ways to amend the Constitution are clearly spelled out. If Democrats want to change the Second Amendment they have to embark upon that process. They haven't. EVER.

Also, it's quite noteworthy that Democrat media fixate on assault weapons, which are used to kill fewer than 100 people each year, while ignoring the 1,000 to 2,000 killed by illegal immigrants each year, and the hundreds of thousands (million+? I haven't checked data on that) raped or assaulted or robbed by illegal immigrants. Furthermore, there's no reason to think that, absent an assault weapon, a mass shooter would instead take a nap. The mass shooter would just use a different gun. Some of the most deadly mass shootings have been carried out with a handgun, including Virginia Tech.

Your ensconcement in the Democrat media bubble has you thinking you are far more intelligent than you actually are. You should look up the Dunning Kruger Effect instead of being obnoxious here and probably elsewhere to anyone who doesn't parrot the trite lines you parrot.

It is becoming ever more popular these days to disregard the Constitution of the United States.  Sad.  Just wait till you see what happens after the Communists progress their agenda over the next 4 years.

All one has to do is look to Europe to see what reckless immigration policies and 1st amendment abuses do to destroy one's Country.  Low IQ Americans have no idea what is going on over there an_light

You will not survive here. You are not a wolf, and this is the land of wolves now...

Why are you faulting someone for making an evaluation of a concept (2nd Amm) and flame throw him then you do the same thing in your reply? You step from the amendment then you rationalize and minimize assault weapons then you completely leave the topic and jump to immigrant issues. Immigrant issues are not related to assault weapons or related to the second amendment. And why are you fixated on immigrants?

He has a right to say that the gun lobby has exaggerated and exploited the language used several hundred years ago and it has turned a simple concept into a massive behemoth industry with no limits or restrictions of any kind. You want to talk about exploitation and a lack of regard for the population, the NRA and the weapons industry has done that to a much higher degree than the awful immigrants your side likes to blame for all your woes.

But you are not taking into account how many of those illegals being let in may be gang members or cartel members up to no good and just have not been caught....there is an agenda with some of these illegals so no need to turn a blind eye at the facts...there are things happening that not you and I can see but you should know they are there...bad apples do spoil a bunch, at least that is what an American citizen should be keen on...we could let 10 million in here but what about those that are up to no good....that's the unknown and what those south of us are counting on...that we can't catch them them all or we can't vet them all and all they need is a few at a time to slip through to handle there narrative...

I don't think homicides are the only issue. The involvement of illegal immigrants in the drug trade can't be ignored.

Just 0.02% of illegal migrants arrested by border patrol carry any fentanyl.  US citizens account for 86% of drug traffic convictions compared to 9% for illegal immigrants according to US sentencing commission.  Reducing deaths should be about helping people who overdose on drugs instead of blaming migrants who are not responsible.

I’m seeing it up to 20 percent . Depending upon if you take a five year average from 2019-2024 . Each individual year has different percentages .

and yes most trafficking of fentanyl is done by U.S. citizens . My guess is because they can transport large quantities in whatever vehicles they are attempting to get through checkpoints .
As opposed to the more laborious task of carrying it on their person through the sometimes treacherous and lethal terrain as they make their way into the United States . Especially the desert .

what do you think about that third ?

Ironic that Trump promised to protect access to guns at national rifle association convention.  Now he has been the target of two assassination attempts.  Both by former republican supporters.  Problem is too many guns used by people who shouldn't possess them.  Polls show most Americans favor stronger gun control.  An ounce of prevention could be worth a pound of cure.  Also Trump should be dialing down his false and inflammatory rhetoric.  FBI data shows most political violence is committed by far right extremists.

    @thirdperson

The republicans wanna make it that every nut in this country has easy access to a gun. Then wonder why it happens, when some nut uses a republican as a target,so he can make himself famous. The answer or solution is never more guns will solve the problem, that's just people who happen to be the ones selling guns (and who also happen to donate money to a certain political party who pushes the gun makers agenda),who say that.

I heard the republican strategy moving forward in this election is to try and incorporate the phrase "having a concept of a plan" into other areas of their policies.Just so it kinda becomes common place to use the phrase,so trump doesn't look like such a stupid f*ck for using it.Now when another shooting eventually happens, instead of just never saying anything or trying to actually solve the problem. They are going to announce they have a "concept of a plan" to try and curb the gun violence in this country. They figure that kind of statement oughta be sufficient to quell the questions or concerns of any of their followers.

So the next time a shooting happens the republican party's statement will be "Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims of this terrible tragedy, but just know that the republican party has a concept of a plan to stop these events from happening in this country".So in other words they'll do just what they are doing now to solve the problem, absolutely f*ckin nothing.

This is the kind of ignorance that allows a society to disintegrate. People don't OD on fentanyl, they are poisoned/killed by it. Is it gonna take a death by someone close to you for you to get it? Oh, I'm guessing you'll just "take one for the team" & move on, eh?

"He has a right to say...". Where did I say he doesn't have a right to say whatever? I have a right to call him out. And you CLEARLY lack basic Reading Comprehension. I didn't "leave the topic and jump to immigration topics". I illustrated the fact that the assault weapons fixation by Democrats is the "disinformation" that they claim to be against, and that the reality is that assault weapons are used to kill exponentially fewer people than illegal immigrants kill. Yet Democrats and their Media Complex focus endlessly on assault weapons and ignore illegal immigrants. Tell me, genius, which should get more attention? The assault weapons that are used to kill around 100 people per year, or the illegal immigrants that kill several thousand and commit hundreds of thousands of other horrific crimes? Why are YOIU and "your side" so fixated on a type of gun that may kill 100 per year, but not on illegal immigrants that kill several thousand, rape tens of thousands, commit hundreds of thousands of other crimes? Why can't YOU and "your side" ever talk about illegal immigration without conflating it with legal immigration? Why can't YOU and "your side" engage in anything resembling good faith argument, instead choosing to denigrate with parroted phrases like "blame for all your woes"? Believe me, YOU and "your side" deserve every bit of the utter contempt I have for you.

Another Democrat who thinks you either parrot Democrat ideology or you must get all your information from FoxNews. Tv is for imbeciles. I don't watch FoxNews, sunshine.

The claim that "Since 2017, there has been 162 total homicides committed by immigrants in the US" is laughably absurd. Not just ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, which I am talking about and which Democrats ALWAYS switch to "immigrants" because they can never have an honest discussion. ALL IMMIGRANTS!!!!! Immigrants, legal and illegal, make up about 30% of the US population, yet you are dumb enough to think they commit less than 1% of the homicides????? I'm not going to do research to get latest info to try to convince someone as brain dead as you. This is from something I bookmarked years ago from Politifact, hardly a bastion of those oh-so-bad right-wingers:

"According to the fiscal year 2018 ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations report, the criminal records of people arrested by ICE for being illegally in the country included 2,028 homicide offenses (387 charges and 1,641 convictions). According to the fiscal year 2017 report, the criminal record of people arrested included 1,886 homicide offenses."

And the reason  "Illegal migrants are less likely to be incarcerated than people born in the US." is that A. They are harder to catch, because they are here illegally with unknown identities; B. They can easily leave the country to avoid capture; and C. they are often deported instead of incarcerated. So, umm, DUH. You should try reading outside the Democrat media bubble. A survey showed 46% of self-identified "liberals" think thousands of unarmed black men are killed by police each year. The actual number? About 15. The Democrat media bubble leaves people that staggeringly misinformed. Get out!

In 2012 20% of convicted drug traffickers were illegal immigrants. At the time illegal immigrants were claimed by Democrats to number 10 million, which was about 3% of the US population.

Nearly 7,000 posts and a quick look shows them to be all parroting Democrat propaganda. thirdperson is a paid shill or a lifeless loser. If there was a mute function he'd be muted by everyone who is sane. I won't be replying to any more posts by somebody like that. Adios!

Don't take anything he posts seriously. Don't think any of his "facts" are true or dispositive. He's a parrot of standard Democrat talking points. He pushes the same narratives that CNN, MSNBC, ABC "News", CBS "News", NBC "News", The New York Times, NPR, Boston Globe, Washington Post, LA Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, virtually every actor/actress/entertainer push. And as Hillary Clinton has said, they think there should be "consequences" for not parroting what they tell you to parrot. I voted for Kerry and Obama. The Democratic Party has become a malignancy. Goodbye and good luck - you're gonna need it!

Killing of insurance CEO reveals resentment against healthcare system.  On social media, many complaints about thousands of people being denied coverage by insurance companies.  Congress budget office warns that millions of Americans could be uninsured if congress cuts Obamacare subsidies.  In first term, Trump tries to sabotage Obamacare despite polls showing it is a popular social program.

Just read insurance companies are deleting pictures & the biographies' of top executives from their websites.

    Probably a good idea.

I mean they are insurance companies.

Although this shooting is tragic ....it cannot at this point be considered a mass shooting ..

A mass shooting is a violent crime of killing or injuring multiple people with a firearm
