I am not sure what source CNN used for what you are referring to. But the evidence from multiple sources shows otherwise. Not for or against an AR-15. Just pointing out the info.

Think we just found the solution. Card carrying MAGA Republicans can continue with current gun laws as statistics show they are responsible people. I say ban guns for all others and we cut murder rates by over 90% if we can actually enforce the ban.

You cannot reason with those who lie. Several of above posts are mere fantasy and they know it. They WISH they could find a Trump supporter shooting it up, yet each time it is not. Dadeville Alabama, 4 dead and 28 injured. Seven guns, all presumed pistols, 89 shell casings. We all know where the problems are yet our leaders lie and the followers follow suit.
The above posts are the result of CNN, the AP, and NPR. Mirror images. And they now attack with obvious lies as earlier posts that laid out the truth must be squashed. When you see this behavior know that the truth has hit home!

A German satire page has written that a final stage cancer patient will now travel to the US because her plea for assisted suicide was denied. Her plan is to randomly ring doorbells until someone shoots her. Of course the story isn't real, but it shows why the level of admiration for the US is limited in other countries.

Stu, I will take a stab at the definition. A rifle designed more for human to human conflict rather than hunting game. High capacity magazine with the ability to fire several shots in a limited amount of time. Lightweight and easy to carry. Accuracy over long distances minimal rather designed for short range.
Said it before, I have no need for a rifle like that. Hyping on them is a partisan issue pushed by our media and politicians daily. The PERSON kills, not the gun. The rate of per capita gun violence and gun-related deaths from mass shootings, is astronomical compared to the mean average from all other nations on the planet.
Conversely, nations with the lowest number of guns per capita have the lowest rates of per capita gun violence.
Intelligent people can see that more guns (regardless the type) is not a solution!
Just as obvious, availability/acquisition of GUNS are the significant difference.
