Most illegal migrants enter US legally by land, water and air but overstay their temporary time limit. For decades, congress has failed to pass immigration reforms despite agreeing to international law to accept asylum seekers. Restricting number allowed has created huge backlogs in processing claims.
Prosecutors have strong cases against Trump. Without any good defensive argument, Trump lawyers can only resort to weak delay tactics. But justice delayed is justice denied.

Interesting that the judge would add that rejection as well. I understand it, and agree, just that it seems more like an intent to foreshadow coming events.

Generally, judges should be more honest than politicians. Job requires judges to consider evidence and law. Whereas members of congress can make decisions based on politics while ignoring evidences and witnesses.
