Age is a very serious comorbidity. For example, in Italy the fataliity rate of 30-39 year olds is 0.3%. For 70-79 year olds it is 12.8%. That is 42.67 times higher. The 66% protection level against the Delta variant is pretty shaky for someone that old, but it still makes sense to get the vaccine - just like it makes sense to wear seatbelts even though they won't save everybody.

In those who are FULLY VACCINATED against the ORIGINAL STRAIN of covid-19, deaths are rare, but *DO* occur because the trump-vaccine developed for that strain is only 90-95% effective. So there's those 5-10% fully vaccinated who will be unlucky. This was always known and explained many, many, MANY TIMES OVER to the public before......well at least in the major papers and on both MSNBC and CNN. Don't know if FOX NEWS or other rightwing partisan media explained the facts to their followers.
However, there are NOW somewhat higher rates of hospitalizations and deaths in Americans FULLY VACCINATED against the ORIGINAL STRAIN of covid-19 because they are getting INFECTED WITH *DELTA* - which the trump-vaccine was NOT developed against (DELTA only evolved this year)

I'm not going to get into the dangers of the vaccine. Over 4 billion have already had at least one shot. The fact that big pharma wanted a total non-liabilty clause was/is concerning. If you have a disabilty caused by the vaccine your screwed. Chances next to nothing it will happen, yet in rare cases it has. And I'll leave it at that.

Vermont's COVID cases are up a staggering 4933% compared to last yr on Sept 8th. From Aug 25th, 2020 to Sept 8th, 2020 there were 0 Vermont deaths, same time period this yr there were 11 deaths.
Maine's cases are up 1321% from same time period last year, death rate from Aug 25th, 2020 to Sept 8th, 2020 3 people died, this year 20 people have died.
Didn't have to hunt for or cherry pick this data, it's the same across the United States. Overall death rate in the U.S. is up 63% from same time as last yr. And it's not just the unvaxed states!!!

The Delt is no joke. I know people roll their eyes when I bring up lab/biological weapon origins, and in all fairness these mutations could very well be natural, but I swear thus thing seems to be perfecting itself and the rate of said mutations, the nature of them, is alarming. I predict a variant with none of the traditional visible symptoms that attacks the lungs directly. No cough, no sore throat, then all of a sudden pneumonia.
