Hobby Lobby chose to close its stores yesterday. Today, it fired people by email. People lost their insurance. They offered no severance. They said, "it’s in the hands of God.” Bullshit....the God you believe in gave you free will and you chose to bail on your employees when they needed you at this terrible time.

I saw a video of this Duquesne situation via a drone last night & I couldn't believe my eyes. Cars and cars & cars in an endless line waiting for food in America? The last time I can remember seeing something like this was during the gas shortage. But for food?
My heart sank & this morning we sent our local food bank 2 hundy. I'm still shaken by that sight knowing it will get even worse before it gets better.

NY state unemployment website is continually crashing per Governor Cuomo. He said there were 1.2 million calls to the unemployment office last week. They normally receive 50,000. He will be adding personnel to handle the calls after they get trained.
Florida experienced similar problems and so did Michigan. I was helping a friend in Michigan Sunday morning & I couldn't even log on to the state website without timing out.
If you can't apply, checks will be delayed making a crisis even more critical for most.
For those who take medication, it would be a good idea to make a list & make it available to a family member or close friend who you would contact in a time of need.
List the name of the medication, the dosage, the frequency, name of the doctor and the name of the pharmacy. Make sure you also provide the phone #'s to your doctors & the pharmacy.
It's a good idea to keep a copy in your wallet or for some in here, your purse. 
Department of Defense said it was making 2,000 ventilators available for the crisis.
Today it became known not one has shipped because Pentagon hasn’t been told where to send them. And only 2 mill of 5 mill masks shipped. DOD needs to know where to ship we are told. Why wouldn't someone at the Pentagon ask the 64 million dollar question? We got them; where do you want them? The Pentagon can send ships/planes/soldiers all over the world but can't figure out where to send badly needed medical supplies?
Oh, come on boys & girls. Sounds like lousy communication and leadership. We don't even have a National Command Center to avoid this bullshit from happening.

On top of this, Governor Pritzker says the White House sent the wrong kind of medical masks in its latest PPE shipment after personally telling him Trump’s administration would send 300,000 masks to his state.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said today that one reason why he has not issued a statewide order for people to stay home is that the White House task force has not recommended it: "If they do, that's something that would carry a lot of weight with me.”
Huh? You were elected to make tough decisions. We don't expect you to have someone else make those decisions for you.

Trump officials have decided against reopening Obamacare enrollment to uninsured Americans during the coronavirus pandemic, defying calls from health insurers and Dems to create a special sign-up window amid the health crisis.
I think this is a missed opportunity to help thousands of Americans.
Not much surprised by the cruelty of Trump and his administration, millions of people are losing their jobs and health insurance by the Covid-19 crisis, not sure it will reflect in November's ballot though. Extremely political ideology often times will make people looked and behaved illogically and stupidly. Shall see on November 3.
Cost of a sever case of people contracted Covid-19 who requires hospitalized with ventilation in ICU for 7 days or longer could cost the patient over hundred of thousand dollars. If the patient has no health insurance, he or she might have to file bankruptcy, very unfortunately.

Many are applying for unemployment for the first time in their lives. Some may not be computer savvy. Add that to the frustration of slow websites and calls to the unemployment office going unanswered, it will certainly stress people out.
