Covid-19 Good And Bad

I live here in Las Vegas folks and it's sad that in many ways our economy is based on a "One Trick Pony". The Strip when you walk on it now makes you feel like you were a survivor of a nuclear war or some other travesty. You see things in your life that you would NEVER imagine. I was employed for eight years and lost it all in just THREE days and with the reports out today that 6.6 million people filing for unemployment really give you an even swifter kick in the backside. 

The total cost of all the shutdowns and lock downs as well are estimated to cost 34 TRILLION which is WAY more than the United States GDP...good luck to everyone is all I can say 

People were yelling at Trump when he was suggesting reopening the economy. People do not understand anything or how it impacts us possibly much more than the virus.

This may not sound too good right now but this will pass. We will be back to normal in a couple of months. I'm sure you have all kinds of thoughts on how to keep it together & you must keep it together. Most of us have lost jobs but remember, it's just a job & you will get another one possibly even better than the job you had.

You can turn that 8 years of experience into a better future. Hang tight. Stay in touch with family, friends, former co-workers & stay networked within your industry but also think about what you may want to do for the rest of your life. A clean break may be just what the doctor ordered.

Tucker just finished interviewing Jared Moskowitz, Florida Division of Emergency Management.

Mr Moskowitz explained how 3M sold masks to foreign countries while not allowing Florida to purchase the masks.

3M makes 10M masks a week.  Their excuse was the foreign country/countries were paying cash.

Will somebody please fly AG Barr to 3M headquarters and use our military police to arrest the high ranking enablers inside 3M of this treasonous activity.

I would use the video of the arrests as the opening  at my next coronavirus update press conference if I am President Trump.

Research shows that the strongest predictor of why a state responded slowly to the coronavirus was political ideology. States with Republican governors and a higher percentage of Trump supporters were the slowest in enacting social distancing policies.

Florida is suffering for it right now.

Looks like a solid list of Liberal states to me.  Louisiana I believe has a Democratic governor and I know New Orleans has a Democratic governor.  Even Florida is not solid Democratic.  The next state is Georgia and they almost had a Democratic governor last time.  

To determine correlation, Unacast uses phone location data for social distancing and political affiliation data from Pew research.  Similar conclusions by other researchers.  States with republican governors are generally slower to implement social distancing than democrat governors according to University of Washington study.  15 of 21 states to issue stay-at-home orders are democrats.  In NBC/wall street journal poll, 68% of democrats are worried about coronavirus versus 40% of republicans.  According to Microsoft news, 74 journalism professors denounce Fox news as a danger to public health by misleading audience about severity of pandemic.

Fauci is blamed by far right extremists for causing economic hardship and undermining Trump before November election.

Guess social distancing is not that effective or maybe Republican states automatically social distance more than Liberal states do.  

Maybe Republican states are doing something else that is more effective somehow. Maybe they need to look into this. 

Back to Kushner, Senior Adviser to President Trump. Jared Kushner used the phrase 'make sure' 16 times during his 4 minute debut at the Trump coronavirus press  conference yesterday.

Will somebody please see if his degree from NYU can be taken back? Again. What does Ivanka see in the very 'smug' Jared Kushner?

Governor Cuomo is saying that they are going to seize, and redeploy medical supplies and ventilators from some less stressed hospitals to beleaguered facilities, presumably in city and LI suburbs.

Here's a leader with a plan.

California received 170 ventilators from the federal stockpile. All were in need of repair. A local company went online, printed the repair instructions and began working to fix the units.

The N95 masks received from the government has mold growing on them and were unusable.
