Can't post it but it's called the "Man in the Arena."

I've been trying real hard to keep this thread non political & think I've done an OK job. But I just came across this data. The following states have not implemented a "stay at home" order as of yet: Nevada, North & South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and Arkansas.

The following have a "partial" stay at home order in place: Utah, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama. Georgia, South Carolina and Wyoming. In Wyoming the Head of the Medical Society asked the Governor to take action but he declined. 

They have something else in common. All but Nevada have Republican Governors.

WTF?

Puerto Rico Secretary Of Health says the 200,000 rapid tests for coronavirus that were ordered from China and Australia have been approved by the FDA and will be used.

Thousands in Florida can't apply for unemployment.

We just learned tonight, the state has an application bug that has been known for a year affecting users trying logon on via Google Chrome. Internet Explorer must be used.

Our state government is failing us.

Carnival Cruise Lines just reported they still have 6 ships at sea. In Florida we have 3 ships waiting for a decision from out Governor whether they can dock.

Carnival knew the virus existed and was extremely contagious but made the decision money was more important than the health of their customers. 

If passengers are looking for others to blame, they can look in the mirror. 

FBI raided a Brooklyn man's home after he hoarded over 5000 boxes of N95 masks and was trying to sell them at 700% mark-up.

What a scumbag! Hope they prosecute this prick.

Last summer, the Trump administration let the contract lapse with the firm maintaining the ventilator stockpile. Now, ventilators are reaching states in disrepair.

Not good.

Remember the mid-March Rose Garden announcement with executives from CVS, Target, Walgreens and Walmart where Trump said they’d have drive-thru testing? Those retailers have opened only 5 drive-thru testing locations, none available to the general public.

Milwaukee has reduced the number of primary voting sites from 180 to 10 due to the virus.

An hour ago, a team of 40+ medical experts & engineers from Israel released the opensource blueprints for AmboVent - a low-cost, medically tested covid 19 ventilator device, made from off-the-shelf components, to answer worldwide virus shortages.

             you are saying Trump suppressed this option. Where do you get this info? CNN?

I live here in Nevada Midnight and I can tell you this. 

Governor Sisolak’s tenth directive under the state of emergency he declared March 12 flatly states that “all Nevadans are ordered to stay in their residences” but provides limited exceptions for essential activities. Gatherings outside the home are also prohibited, subject to the same exceptions.

April 1 2020. Gov. Steve Sisolak issued a statewide stay-at-home order for Nevada’s 3 million residents Wednesday, joining 37 other states and several of America’s biggest cities in enacting a coronavirus quarantine that now extends to more than three-quarters of the U.S. population.

Midnight1 is right.  US has a patchwork system where some states allow special enrollment while others don't.  According to politico, 11 states that run their own obamacare exchanges have launched enrollment periods so that uninsured Americans can get coverage.  However Trump refuses to reopen enrollment in other states.

3rd - I stand corrected - then I concur, that's BS and makes no sense - Why one state versus another! Head scratching

He disapproved of "re-opening" enrollment. If your state is still open for enrollment, you're OK. If your state "closed" enrollment already, it can't be re-opened.

Glad to see he came to his senses with his "stay at home" order.

Medical personnel are keeping diaries so they don't have to depend on their memories to document the events taking place. They easily get attached to patients and their families only to learn they passed away during the night or after their shift was over.

When this is all over, many will need help in coping with what they experienced. 

Elderly parents are telling their adult children where to find important documents in case they become incapacitated. Personal wills, deeds to homes, titles to cars, bank accounts and jewelry are just some of the items being discussed.

These are difficult uncomfortable conversations to have but are better off being done now rather than later.

What are those governors of 11 states up to  still refusing to impose the "shelter-in-place" or "stay-at-home" rules? Are these governors  playing tough, macho and bully actors vs the Covid-19? They will most likely get overwhelmed by this nature disaster, unfortunately.   

The Holland America Zaandam cruise ship has been given the OK to dock. There are 200 sick & 4 dead on board.

All others will be tested & if OK will be able to catch planes home.

Glad arrangements were finally made for these folks.

New York state is paying:

-15x normal price for masks -4x normal price for gloves -3x normal price for X-ray machine -2x normal price for infusion pumps "Price gouging laws in New York state and New York City do not apply to state and city purchases"

And FEMA's bidding continues to raise the prices of these items in every state.

Job loss is a qualifying life event under the ACA, so people can enroll even if the Feds haven't created a special open enrollment period.

You may want to check this out if you need coverage. Be ready for high deductibles.

Having used COBRA many many years go, it's available but very expensive. Applying for Medicaid is another option & may be the best.

Who in their right mind is lodging threats at Dr. Fauci?
