The numbers. In maine we have had 3599 confirmed cases. 3000 have recovered. 114 have died. If we deal in recovery to death we see a 1 in 30 or 3 percent death toll .  from a population of 1.3 million. 3 percent of the population were exposed and symptoms to warrant voluntary testing. Of that 3 percent 3 percent have died. 

If the numbers inflate maine could see a death toll of 2 percent until heard immunity 70 percent is reached. Death topic with complete exposurecwould be around 50k. 

With modern medicine and techniques we can isolate this to a 1 percent death toll or 16000 with complete exposure... 

With quarantine standards masks social distancing and limiting crowd interactions maine has saved at least 15000 lives.

Have any of you guys heard about Covid parties? And we wonder why other countries hate us. As the old saying goes, youth is wasted on the young.

Maybe now that the Supreme Court addressed eastern Oklahoma as tribal land that the document then signed by the state of Oklahoma can be null and void where state of Oklahoma does not have jurisdiction on tribal land... But thwse poor souls really have nothing now but more empty chairs at the vfw...

Trump administration's weakening of Obama regulations worsen conditions in nursing homes according to Vox and Washingtonpost.  Fines have been reduced for violation of sanitation that could reduce the spread of diseases.  in addition, training requirements for nursing aides have been reduced from 75 to 8 hours.  Aides are caretakers of residents and responsible for cleaning.  Insufficient training in a complex job is a recipe for disaster.  Now over 55,000 residents and workers have died from coronavirus.  In a crisis, a basic job of leadership is to protect the most vulnerable.
