South Korea is planning to stockpile 4 million sets of additional personal protective
equipment by December to prepare for a large scale spread of the coronavirus,
according to its Ministry of Health.

The government also plans to secure additional ECMO machines -- a specialized
heart-lung bypass machine used when the lungs cannot function themselves --
and ventilators, Health Ministry official Yoon Tae-ho said in a briefing Monday.

What is the trump regime doing to prepare? Cut back testing even more??

Recently, US center for disease control reverses controversial guidelines telling people to not get tested if no covid symptoms.  New guidelines return to early recommendation for more testing.  This amounts to CDC rebuking Trump's political efforts to slow testing.  He is afraid more testing would make US look bad by exposing more covid cases.  But public health experts criticize less testing when more is needed.  People without symptoms can still spread infection and the greatest risk may be before they show symptoms.   In Germany and South Korea, testing and contact tracing are crucial in identifying infected people so they can be isolated to stop virus spread.  However testing failures are among reasons why US has struggled to contain outbreaks.  If US has the same death rate as Canada, over 100,000 more Americans would likely be alive today.

According to Associated press fact check, US isn't running substantially below covid death projections despite Trump's claims.  He cites a potential death toll of over 2 million to put reality of 200,000 deaths in a better light.  So he can try to falsely claim saving many lives.  But such a extreme projection is unrealistic since Institute of health metrics assumes nothing is done to fight pandemic.  It was never a expected death toll if US government did a bad job in handling pandemic.  Trump is trying to move the goal posts to fool the public into thinking anything under 2 million deaths is success.  Now Institute of health metrics projects almost 400,000 deaths by January 2021.   

The resurgence of Covid-19 infection cases in recent days in Europe has raised more concerns among countries like UK, Italy, Spain and Germany. Stricken impose of restrictions on public life are on the way in these countries. U.S. has to keep it vigilant, better preparing in advance than trying to bully the Covid-19 right here in the States.        

Infections are rising in 28 states with no plan in place. Even the most simple prevention of wearing a mask is being ignored.

Spain saw one of the most draconian Covid-19 lockdowns in Europe, but two months after it was lifted, the virus is spreading faster than in any neighbouring nation.

It now has Europe's fastest-rising caseload, with 142 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants over the past two weeks.

By the time the state of emergency ended on 21 June, Spain was registering 100 to 150 cases per day. That number has risen to more than 3,000.

However, there is overwhelming evidence showing that gathering in groups of 100,000 at the height of a pandemic isn’t the best idea.
