Media matters expose biased study from political lobby group rigged to show red states outperforming blue states in pandemic.   Only 3 metrics (economic performance, deaths and school opening) are used while ignoring important metrics such as hospitalization.  Non-peer reviewed study gives extra credit for rejecting public health guidance.  Death rates are dishonestly manipulated downward in red states and upward in blue states.  Actually, Florida is one of the worst performing states in covid deaths even accounting for older population.

The state of Florida is 17th in deaths per million. Ahead of the sunshine state are New Jersey, New York, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

Really a stupid pissing match. No state shines as a " We did it right" state. Lockdowns, mandates, no mandates, etc, nobody stands out. Some lucky, some not. Way too many factors to consider. Besides population age you have race diversity, density of populations, amount of travel from other states, etc. 

Critical gender theory injected into math class too. This is a math question found on Prodigy - a math program used in Virginia. 

A class has 30 students. There are 15 students that identify as non-binary. What is the ratio of other genders to non-binary students?

Florida continues war on education by censoring 54 math textbooks with references to critical race theory.  Without evidence, DeSantis claims math textbooks are indoctrinating children.  Instead he has turned classrooms into political battlefields.  Oddly, DeSantis claims Florida is a national leader in education.  By national, he  means states that spend as little money on education as possible while hunting culture war enemies.  Education law center says Florida ranks 42nd in education spending per student.  Florida has the third largest number of book bans in the US.  American library association warns that book bans have reached levels not seen in decades.

Why are Democrats ok with Disney getting special privileges when it comes to the environment? Because they agree with their politics and that’s all that matters to democrats. They don’t care about war or refugees or collateral damage —  They care about their politics — period. 

Florida is a shareholder in Twitter through the state’s pension fund.

DeSantis announced that a team of lawyers is currently reviewing how the state can hold the Twitter board “accountable for breaching their fiduciary duty.”

Vindictive abuse of power for dictator DeSantis to dissolve Disney self government district for rightfully speaking up for human rights.  For over 50 years, Florida has benefited greatly from largest tourism employer Disney providing municipal services such as power, water, roads, flood control, healthcare, fire protection and buildings.  Now there is a risk taxpayers could be liable for items Disney pay for plus $2 billion debt.  Under Florida law, illegal for legislature to dissolve district without approval from local homeowners who are mostly Disney employees.
