A rational defense of lockdown policies would've been: the severe harms they cause are outweighed by the benefits.
Instead, it was taboo even to note harms of COVID policies. Any attempt to argue against maximalist restrictions resulted in accusations of COVID denialism.
Children’s learning loss in the pandemic isn’t just in reading and math. It’s also in social and emotional skills. In a New York Times survey of 362 school counselors across the US, they said students are behind in abilities to learn, cope and relate.

Far more Americans died under Biden than under Trump
....because of the massive pandemic trump downplayed and allowed to take hold in every corner of the nation while encouraging half the nation to distrust public health authorities and try injecting bleach instead

As archived in history, there was no "national lockdown" in the US during covid at any time. Each state and territory was free to decide for themselves
Yes.
That’s why DeSantis is going to be the next President.

Racist MAGA Lawmaker Now Under Investigation for Claiming Buffalo Shooting Was a False Flag
Rolling Stone -
The Arizona state Senate launched an ethics investigation into Wendy Rogers after the racist, far-right state lawmaker falsely suggested the mass shooting in Buffalo last Saturday was carried out by a government agent.
The Arizona Senate, which is controlled by Republicans, voted 24 to 3 to launch an investigation into the comment. Rogers herself and two of her GOP accomplicess, Warren Petersen and Kelly Townsend, were the only three to vote against the probe.
“Spewing hate and furthering racist comments is not what we should be here for,” Senator Victoria Steele said.

Rogers’ trafficking of white nationalist talking points isn’t new. “We are being replaced and invaded,” she wrote on Twitter last summer while linking to a Breitbart story on migrant apprehensions.

Why are you misquoting her? This is what she tweeted:
“We Americans who love this country are being replaced by people who do not love this country. I will not back down from this statement. Communists & our enemies are using mass immigration, education, big tech, big corporations & other strategies to accomplish this.”

Answers what question? I didn't ask any question. I said it sounded like fake news but that even if so, it still wouldn't discredit your point. Why would I Google something that has no real bearing on the point being made?
Since you were so insistent though, I did read through your links. Did you? It was fake news. You said, and this is a direct quote, "A murderer in New York gets out on $1 bail."
Did you read your own links or did you Google some headlines and post them? The dude didn't get out of anything. He's still in custody. It was a tricky scenario where he's brought in, for local charges but also held of Federal parole violations. With new bail reforms, a defendant can ask for bail to be set, locally, while sitting on the Federal charges, simply so that you are receiving credit for the time you are serving. That bail can be a token denomination, like a dollar. It's not meant for violent crimes, and the judge simply misunderstood the new law. This particular judge didn't even have the authority to set bail in such a case. It was a mistake but not a miscarriage in judgement, as the dude is still in custody.
Now, in theory, if the feds decide that one count of murder, and five counts of attempted murder doesn't violate his parole, and the case gets kicked back to local, in theory he could bail out for $1 but you said he was out on $1. And yes, my friend, that is fake news. Don't shoot the messenger.

I mean, that's how our government works, isn't it? I'm no expert but aren't their certain stipulations that must be met for a federal mandate? Time of war? I'm sincerely asking.

What gives her the authority to say who does and doesn't love America? Why is it that when one side complains about something, policy, etc, it is because they love America, and when another side complains, it is because they hate America? And if they hate America, they should leave. Does anyone else see the irony in this. The hypocrisy?

People state their opinions as if it is gospel. And when said people are given a public platform, when said people are elected officials, this becomes very dangerous. When was the last time one of these politicians, on either side, prefaced their inflammatory and divisive statements with, "I am of the opinion..."?

This isn’t the first time the Arizona state Senate has taken action against Wendy Rogers, either. She was censured last March after THREATENING her colleagues, who criticized her for delivering a video address at America First PAC, a White Nationalist conference.
Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona and Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin did the same, while Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene cheerfully spoke at that event IN PERSON!

It would be kind of silly to say that every time we give an opinion. Not very good for engagement either.
“Yes, men can get pregnant!”, Just hits harder than, “I am of the opinion that men can become pregnant”.

Oh, it would be silly? It's not silly to vehemently make statements of opinion as if they are fact, even in some cases when the speaker of said statement knows it to be false? It's silly to say, "...this is my opinion." Not good for engagement. Doesn't hit as hard. Do you ever think that maybe statements need to hid less hard. Wouldn't that be better for engagement? For discourse. I guess if the goal is just to rile people up...
