The Ocoee massacre was a white mob attack on African-American residents in northern Ocoee, Florida, which occurred on November 2, 1920, the day of the U.S. presidential election. The town is in Orange County near Orlando.

Allen Franks was just 18 when he led five siblings hand-in-hand and carried a sixth, his disabled brother, on his back through swampy woods out of Ocoee, away from a mob of white men firing rifles and burning Black homes 100 years ago on Election Night.

The Slocum Massacre occurred on July 29-30, 1910 in Slocum, Texas. "Only six deaths were officially confirmed"

but it is estimated as many as one hundred African Americans lost their lives in this massacre. Historians have provided several explanations for the motives of the all-white perpetrators of the massacre. When the story spread, it was altered to favor the white suspects and the black residents of Slocum were blamed. The whites from the mob did their best to destroy any evidence against them. African Americans reached out to higher levels of government for a fair investigation, but little to nothing was done on their behalf. As a result, the African American population in Slocum, Texas declined drastically.

Long before the Slocum Massacre had occurred, many residents of Texas had been involved in racist acts. There had already been at least 335 lynchings, in 261 the victims were black. Many of these lynchings occurred based on allegations alone, and the victims were rarely, if ever, given a trial before their murder occurred in the public eye.

The East St. Louis Riots was a series of outbreaks of labor- and race-related violence by White Americans who murdered between 40 and 250 African Americans in late May and early July 1917. Another 6,000 black people were left homeless, and the burning and vandalism cost approximately $400,000 ($8,080,000 in 2021) in property damage

Doubleup4life is right.  For decades, critical race theory has been taught at hundreds of colleges and universities in the US.  Usually CRT is a small part of US history courses.  Crazy for hysterical politicians to push for censorship of CRT since it isn't even taught in K-12 education.  Most people trust teachers more than politicians.  Banning education is political correctness gone wild.   Why are they afraid of truth? 

Apparent attempt to derail civil rights movement for justice?  Censorship is a way to galvanize white grievances  around a entirely false narrative about civil rights history.  For Trump supporters, history isn't what actually happened but what they want to believe.  But delusional to rewrite or whitewash history.  Restrictive views are the seeds of bigotry and ignorance.

Critical Race Theory teaches that racism is a social construct ... today. It teaches the oppression is institutional and systemic. It teaches that it’s a system setup by white people to favor whites people and oppress people of color.

Show me a specific proposed bill that is “banning education”. 

Why are Asians so much more successful than white people in the USA 2021?

The plight of African-Americans, Latinos, and Native Americans are each unique. Their experiences are nothing alike.

So why don't Native Americans and Latinos reach the same level of success of Asian-Americans? Should they just get over the racist past, and succeed like Asians too?

Hmmmm. Perhaps, it's deeper than that. Again, institutional racism, and discriminatory, racist actions and policies of the past against racial and ethnic minorities still carry lingering effects today, whether you choose to ignore it or not. 

Association of secondary school principals believe that local teachers and school leaders are best qualified to determine what subjects should be taught and how best to teach them.  However politicians aren't education experts and shouldn't interfere by misrepresenting critical race theory.  Fighting CRT is  fighting civil rights movement.

The system is set up by white people for white people to succeed is the foundation of critical race theory. Yet Asians are the best performing group in the country. Proving that the house of critical race theory is built on a faulty foundation. 

First generation Nigerians are extremely successful. Much more successful than other first generation WHITE immigrant groups. 

Success in the USA in 2021 has nothing to do with skin color. 

Democrats have been in control of nearly every black neighborhood for the last 50 years and have failed miserably. 

Democrats tell black people that they are the victims of racism as a tool to control them. It’s awful to watch. 

America was NOT set up by the Founding Fathers and wealthy landowners, who were all White?

Here are some questions for you. How many Asians are in Congress? How many Asians-Americans have run for or been nominated to run for President?

What is the percentage of Asian-American born CEOs of Fortune 500 companies in America? 

What about Latinos and Native Americas? Quiet on this.

You must be high on those drugs you used to sell if you still think the major institutions and businesses are NOT controlled by White men in modern day society.

Do you believe we should start forcing the smartest Asians in the country to become Fortune 500 CEO’s? I’m pretty sure an Asian is the CEO of Microsoft, Google and they dominate Silicon Valley. I think they even outnumber whites there. They’re doing just fine making decisions for themselves, they don’t need people like you to start forcing them to meet quotas. 

Are you now arguing that Asians are discriminated against? If there is any examples of Asians being discriminated against it would be from liberal (democrat) universities.

Trump and Martin Luther King Jr believed that people should not be judged by the color of their skin. 

Democrats believe that people should be judged by the color of their skin. Very sad to be honest. 

Democrats force schools to meet skin color quotas because black Americans were discriminated against in the past. So Democrats (universities) bring in black people from foreign countries to meet the quotas.

The key phrase I mentioned is American born Asians dum dum. 

We recruit Asians abroad to lead these companies. Coincidence that we aren't recruiting all of these so successful American Asian born citizens?

Then you bring up Asian immigrant CEO's of American tech companies who are non-American Asians, who weren't born here, didn't grow up here, didn't go to college or business school here, didn't start their business careers here, and then say look these are Asian CEOs who succeed in America because institutional racism doesn't hurt them.
