Why are you prioritizing American born minorities over first generation immigrants?
Why are you deflecting?
I am not prioritizing anything, what are you talking about?
Americans citizens are American citizens.
You argument doesn't make any sense.
I ask you to tell me how many Asian-Americans are in government or leading CEOs of major companies,. and of course you cannot give me numbers about Asian representation in government, so you bring up Google's CEO who moved here in his late 20s from India, already highly educated and well-established to show Asian-Americans are CEOs
I am sure he probably received his citizenship by now since he has been here for 17 years.
It's just funny.
Being an Indian immigrant is all good. But comparing an immigrant who arrived later in life, already highly educated in his field is not exactly a fair comparison to Blacks, Asians, and Latinos, who are born and living in America, and faced very different obstacles and conditions than the Google CEO.
My point is that Asian-Americans as minorities still do not carry as many opportunities as whites in government leadership, or leadership at the top of American companies.
In fact, they are still highly underrepresented in these areas in comparison to their percentage of the American population, despite you claiming they perform better than everyone by only looking at one metric apparently (which I am guessing you are looking at money).
The bottom line is that you have no idea what you are talking about as usual.

I didn’t bring up Asian CEO’s. You brought up Asian CEO’s and I just happened to know 2 off the top of my head. Nadella and Pichai are both Americans. I have no idea why you’re calling them “non-American Asians” but it sounds rather racist. Are you a racist? I think you’re a racist.
I am sure they received their citizenship by now. By non-American, I meant they were not born here non-American born. I even stated so, not born in the U.S. I am sure each of these CEOs, not born here, are likely American citizens now, and perhaps even have dual citizenship, which is dope.
And you of all people calling people racist in this forum is quite comical. 99% of what flies out of your handle is racist drivel.

Asians (American-born and not American born) Likely All American citizens.
Only represent 3% of all Fortune 500 company CEOs (16 total as of 2019).
Compared to their level of education, and percentage of the population, this is a glaring underrepresentation in major business leadership.
So despite you claiming that Asians are crushing it in every way possible, to prove institutional racism doesn't exist. The numbers and trends don't add up.
I don't think the answer is that answer is that Asian-Americans simply do not want to be CEOs
What about government leadership?
How many Asian-Americans are in Congress? Run for President? I thought there are no more racial structural barriers? Why the vast underrepresentation??? Hmmmmmmm.

GOP-led Michigan committee found 'no evidence' of voter fraud in 2020 election, further discrediting Trump's FALSE claims
An investigation by the Republican-led Michigan Senate Oversight Committee found no proof of widespread voter fraud in the state's 2020 election, rejecting former President Donald Trump's false claims.
"The Committee embarked upon hours of public testimony, the review of countless documents and presentations on the 2020 election, and careful review of the elections process itself," the report released Wednesday said.

Are you suggesting that we start forcing them to take on these roles until they hold a % to your liking?

Interesting that you start a thread debating the merits of critical race theory and lack critical thinking skills.
You don't think Asian-Americans want equitable representation in big business and government, despite being one of the fastest growing ethnic/racial groups in the country?
Didn't you argue that this was one of the most ambitious, driven, motivated, educated, and hardworking cultural and ethnic groups?
With these characteristics that you constantly praise, you don't think many aspire to be CEOs of the largest, most powerful companies despite being some of the most highly educated in the country?
Asian-Americans don't carry an interest in increasing representation in government to advance the interests and needs of their growing community nationwide? Why not?
It appears you lack common sense sir. You should probably just bow out.
I do not get where you are getting the notion to force anyone into any specific role. What the h$ll are you talking about? You just randomly make $hit up.
Your brain does not appear to work very well. Probably ingested too many of those drugs you used to sell.

What information are you using to determine Asian-Americans do NOT want to be politicians or CEOs or the most prestigious or acclaimed workers or citizens? You seem to make a lot of assumptions about what Asian-Americans don't want in America and draw some interesting conclusions about Asian culture without actually saying much.
Are you an Asian-American? Do you work with an Asian-American rights advocacy group? Where does your vast knowledge come from regarding Asians and Asian Americans? Judging by the tone of most of your posts, it does not appear you support many minority groups in America (Blacks, Latinos, LGTBQ+) or Democrats. Let's be real, you don't seem to be a very tolerant person. So the expertise on Asians seems a bit mysterious.

Well we can look at how many Asians run for political office, for starters. They don’t seem to be too interested in politics. And I don’t blame them. I support all groups. I could care less what anyone’s skin color is, who they prey to or who they fucc.
Again, you are making assumptions. Just because they don't run for political office does not mean they are not interested in politics.
Do you have any research studies, or surveys to reflect that Asians don't seem too interested in politics or government in terms of attitudes? Where is this coming from?
Your own a$$?
Perhaps, they realize they do not have a realistic chance of winning in certain states, regions, or communities?
Perhaps, they think the odds or stacked against them? I mean what group has controlled and dominated government institutions since the beginning of our country? Hmmmm.
I do not speak for Asians or Americans, but these are possibilities. I don't just claim to know the thinking of a large group of American citizens like you do.
Again, what makes you an expert on Asians or Asian-Americans? Besides broad, sweeping generalizations?
It seems you just like talking out of your a$$.
Carry on.

I don't think either of you know very many actual asians, if any. Nor do you have any clue what makes them tick. For starters, can we stop saying "Asians" like it's some catch all phrase that encapsulates everyone from the Asian continent? Do you guys realize how many diverse ethnic groups exist just in China? Do you think Cambodians are anything like the Japanese? The generalizations you guys are making basically only describe the Japanese, the South Koreans, and the Han Chinese. At least have the decency to say East Asians.
With this said, and this is just speaking from personal experience, I would agree with tox. Asians are interested in politics in ways that are tangible. For example, a city like San Francisco, with a large Chinese population, helping elect a mayor like the late Ed Lee. Electing local officials to represent the issues of their community, on a very local level. Most east asian cultures are very private. Very traditional. They're not the type to, say,, launch a senate campaign. I think this will gradually change as more east asians become assimilated into western society.
I swear though, guys. Have you ever been to an asians house? Any friends growing up? You guys talk about asians like their martians.

Fair enough. I'm sure you know tons of "Asians". I mean, there's tons of them in Central/Eastern Washington. Look, i'm not looking for beef. Just speaking from personal experience, growing up in one of the most diverse cities, in one of the most diverse areas, of one of the most diverse states. How many Asians are in your cellphone? How many real friends do/did you have. Friends that love you like a brother. Not coworkers. Not that one filipino kid you were stationed with. Real relationships. I don't think any of you guys know dick about asians because if you did, you wouldn't be grouping them all together, talking about "Asians" like they're all the same.

I did not engage in any part of this argument, other than to compliment another very experienced adult on his grasp of the issue.
Anything coming out of the mouth of I_REALLY_need_a_detox is coming from the same mouth that denies 9/11 -- a slap in the face to all like me, Kelly, Midnight, etc, etc, who put on the uniform to serve our country.

I walked around Boston and asked the Asians if they were interested in politics and they said no. I then told them that Democrats want to force them out of their high paying tech jobs and into low paying government jobs. I informed them the only way they can avoid this catastrophe is if they vote for DeSantis in 2024. They said they will vote for DeSantis.
Full of $hit as usual.
No one said anything about forcing anyone to do anything, except you. What jobs did the Asians you spoke to on the streets tell you they prefer? What line of work are your Boston Asians in? You seem to know the group so well. What are Asians aspiring to be today? CEOs of successful companies and government leadership seem to be off the table?
I asked about Congress members in terms of government jobs. Low paying job? Average Congress member salary $175,000. Average median house hold income for Asian-Americans $85,000.
Still think being a Congress member is a low paying government job? Lay off the drugs.
