Any provocation by China now would result in " sanctions" and oil would stop flowing. So China needs to wean itself from oil as best it can. First, an oil pipeline from Russia to get a minimum amount of oil they would still need. Second, huge electric car boom. China leads the world in electric cars and are replacing gas cars everyday (John Kerry pees his pants just talking about it) along with some solar and wind. Third, and THIS IS THE OBVIOUS GIVEAWAY, they are investing in ALL COAL FIRED PLANTS. This will give them oil and natural gas independence and allow them to wage war without fear of any energy sanction. Bloomberg reports China has enough coal for 5 decades!!
