Not too surprising they would though.   Afterall FOX is well known for supporting and spreading the false "election was stolen from Trump" due to colossal Democrat voter fraud lie, the "antifa & the FBI were the real ones storming the Capital on Jan 6 and Trump is totally innocent" lie, the covid vaccines are bad for people lie, the masks don't work at all at REDUCING & SLOWING the spread of Covid from an infected person lie, the "Great Replacement Theory" lie, and so many other lies it's really hard to keep track.

One of the few things they have stated which turns out to be true is when their top gun, Tucker Carlson, said in a recorded public interview a year ago that he lies to his TV viewers.

And still no one can produce a Purdue Study that says hurricane frequency is increasing. So surprised.

The study, published in Nature Communications, was led by MIT atmospheric scientist Kerry Emanuel, who employed a novel approach to evaluate past storm activity. Rather than relying on historical observations, which may have gaps, he performed climate modeling  to reconstruct a continuous record of hurricane activity over the past 150 years from which to gauge trends.

His approach sidesteps one of the biggest hurdles in long-term hurricane research, which is the incomplete and inconsistent storm observations available before weather satellites were reliably present beginning around 1970. Before that bookkeeping was a bit spotty, especially before the 1940s, when ship reports were a primary source of observation over the open ocean.

Previous research had suggested a possible increase in Atlantic hurricane intensity in recent decades, tied to human-caused climate change. This study not only supports that, showing storms are becoming more destructive, but also finds that both hurricanes and major hurricanes are increasing in frequency, a more controversial idea.

IN NO WAY IS THIS "TIED TO HUMAN- CAUSED CLIMATE CHANGE" AS THEIR STUDY DETERMINED THERE WE MORE HURRICANES PRIOR TO 1970'S THAN RECORDED. ALL HURRICANES FROM 70'S TO NOW ACCOUNTED FOR.

From my experience in Florida, we get about 12 to 14 named storms a year & that's plenty for me. 

Just following the lead of another poster here who enlarges, bolds and colors quotes. I'll refrain from the colors though, over the top.

Find that MIT study (really just a hypothesis) ironic that the author blames Clean Air Regulations for the increase in Atlantic Ocean temperature.

Actual data says Florida was hit with 8 hurricanes from 2000-2005, then ZERO for 10 years, 2006-2015, and now 6 in the last 7 years. Guess you got used to those quiet years.

At a glance I see 10 hit Florida in the 1940's, 3 were Cat 4. Big Labor Day storm of 1935 was a Cat 5. 

After reading that there is ample evidence that global warming is contributing at least some to hurricane activity.

Not sure why anyone would whine and bitch against it so much.
